I agree with you and don't think these things should be forced into a game for the sake of it. I don't think your statement is homophobic at all, you have no problem if it fits the context and plot of the game.
As for politicians its only right that you want to be represented by the best person for the job, I do also, and it makes no difference to me if that person is male, female, gay, straight or bi, just as long as they are the best person to fight for my interests...
Nothing in computer games is 'normal', it's not normal to travel back in time to fight ancient battles, its not normal to steal cars, rob banks, kill people or stop some evil supervillain from destroying the world. It's not normal to play sports at a national/international level, it's not normal to be a non-human character.
Maybe your kids shouldn't play computer games at all because nothing in them is normal, if it were nobody would play.
That's a stupid question, you may as well ask "If everyone was male what would happen"? Why do you feel the need to paint an impossible scenario to justify your prejudice?
" Think about the effect on young children as well."
Why, do you think they can catch 'gay' by seeing it in a game. Perhaps the effect on children will be increased tolerance towards those that are different to the "norm".
I don't think that anyone should create a gay protagonist just for the hell of it, but if it is a well-written character and their sexuality is important to the story, I have no problem with it.
"Sure there have been injuries and even fatalities in boxing, but none of them were serious"
Alan Minter (completely off topic but a great quote).
He took money from some students to voice their home made PaRappa animation and never bothered to spend the 5 minutes it would have taken to record his voice. After several months (and poor excuses) the students made a public complaint against him in the media, now he wants to sue them.
Are all rappers complete morons with over-inflated ego's? This guy thinks he has 500 million fans?
He's at best a has-been that never was, what an utter turd burger. PaRappa was a great game but there are any number of people who could have voiced it.
Great name for a game. I'm waiting for them to release 'Possibly Football' and 'Perhaps Tennis'. I'm not really interested in 'Maybe Golf' though.
Looks quite interesting to me.
@Gamer2013
I love WarThunder, if you enjoy playing something it doesn't become a grind at all. I'm at tier 4 with the British planes and what you call a grind, I call a great reason to remain playing the game for months to come.
" Those games are nothing to boast about besides, most are better played on the PC."
So because you don't personally like a game it doesn't count as an exclusive? In that case the XB1 has zer...
Sneaked is English, snuck American (although also now used in UK), it happens a lot.
If you drag something in the UK it was dragged, in US it was drug. A burglar burgled a house in the UK but burglarized one in the states. A diver dived in UK, but dove in America.
@ Yarbie1000
You may think you're being funny but I have already seen articles on "How to play TitanFall." I suppose that's the price you pay for launching a game on a console marketed most prominently towards "Telly Addicts" rather than gamers.
Well I must admit it is much easier to sell your product when your main competition makes an utter mess of its "world-wide launch".
So you are indeed correct, Microsofts' mistakes and mis-management in its choice of launch territories is one of the many reasons it is loosing sales to Sony.
Maybe when (or if) they bother selling it in other territories they'll be able to get rid of some of the surplus supplies sitting around in warehouses ev...
@Stoppokingme
Sorry if I misunderstood your comment (although it was quite ambiguous). It just sounded like a generic "PS4 has no games" comment which annoy me no end because it simply isn't true.
You made a comment about games on an article about why there is a sudden spike in Xbox sales, It sounded to me like another baseless "Xbox has games Sony doesn't" type argument, that's why I responded in the manner I did.
In the article he states that sometimes it has a time of day cycle (he doesn't give details). They may well have the system you describe.
@Kavorklestein
Just because Ryse and Forza were obviously downgraded doesn't mean that all titles that change are downgraded.
Try using your eyes to decide instead of your bruised ego.
Forza had fantastic 3D backgrounds with highly detailed buildings at E3, come release they became flat and used far fewer polygons. This was obvious when you use your eyes.
Ryse changed its resolution which again is a tangible demonstration of a do...
@Axios2
PS4...2? Really? In what parallel dimension?
Oh I see "retail exclusives", so we can discount games like Don't Starve, WarThunder, Warframe, Dead Nation et al, all of which are better in terms of quality and fun than a lot of full "retail exclusives".
I have played more hours in WarThunder than anything else this year, it's an amazingly good game, should we discount it as a game because it's free? Surel...
Well that may be true if Microsoft were outselling Sony, but as they are not, there is a major flaw with your argument.
If you're going to say " No gamer is going to buy a console to make waffles", you're saying that either Sony is ahead because they have more games for PS4 (probably true if you take into account all the PSN games), or that non-gamers are out-buying gamers this gen.
As Sony has the far more gamer-centric console (with non-ga...
@Gozer
Those articles are so old (and for every one you'll find a hundred saying how PS4 is significantly more powerful).
You actually use the Carmack interview where he says he hasn't benchmarked the machines yet!!! Guess what, they have now been benchmarked and the results are in (see if you can guess the results).
Try finding an article written AFTER the consoles launched, or alternatively, you could continue on your present course...
I feel exactly the same way about religious nuts. Just because people don't have the moral/mental fortitude to decide what are correct behavioural choices for themselves and have to take orders from an imaginary entity, doesn't mean I should look down on them or treat them disrespectfully.
I'm aware that religion can help individuals to get through tough times and difficult situations, and there is an inherent need to feel like you have some influence and hope wh...
