Sorry but that can't be true. Toshiba make money on every DVD disc sold, as they own the patents. That is worth a lot of money. Toshiba own the patents to HD DVD so are the HD DVD PROMOTION Group really trying to tell us that they aren't making money on every single HD DVD disc sold? And this has nothing to do with selling the players cheap, to get an install base?

In its first iteration it was great. Playing MotoGP 2 with 16 players was great fun, I even joined up with the XBLR forums and played in their racing league, Rainbow 6 was good fun too.
I haven't really been able to get quite so enthusiastic over the 360 live service, maybe because the MotoGP series went downhill, or perhaps because I was put off by all the focus on gamerpoints and achievements.

You don't get even a 20GB with the 360, it is about 13GB which is available. Funny how 360 owners are moaning about this option whilst cheering that they can download Halo and other xbox games. Surely some of them will be over 3.5 GBs?

You need to check out Eye of Judgement. Being able to move your cards around with a 3D character on it and interact with it is 4D to me. Very clever, that Playstation Eye
I bought PES on the Xbox. It was the best football game at the time. Fifa was slow and nowhere near as good as PES. I bought Fifa 07 on the 360, as EA had improved it a lot and I wanted to check it out. I bought Fifa 08 on the PS3 because PES did not offer as much improvement as Fifa. I bought the PS3 version because I wanted to support the PS3 in its first year as I did the 360, to keep all the consoles in the race.

How do you know Haze sucks? It hasn't been reviewed by anyone yet and there are no demos available. Watching the trailers and interviews on PSN it seems to look pretty good, and as it is being developed by the Timesplitters dudes it has a good pedigree.
NFS has never been a great series and the latest reviews are mixed, I agree, should perhaps have used Dirt instead.
Well, the answer to the question is yes if you have never played it, as Halo Evolved is the best game of the series from a campaign point of view. You will even see where the Halo 3 ending came from!
As for the xbox downloads, I do not believe that you will get anything other than the games working using software emulation. There won't be achievements because that will need coding work to be done, and they won't go 'HD' because they would need to go and redraw all the textures ...
They seem to be managing their supply chain really well, from a PR point of view anyway. Just manufacturing enough to keep the demand unsatisfied. If they were readily available I would pick one up with Mario, but while they are out of stock everywhere its not even worth trying. I reckon they are losing a lot of sales while this shortage is going on.
I agree with theMart a bit here. During the fights in Heavenly Sword, the AI is a bit rubbish. The attackers simply take it in turns to attack, doing the same moves, and this is what it looks like in Assassins Creed, which is a shame. Heavenly Sword is still a great game to play though, but he is too busy finding excuses to hate the PS3 to see all the great things about it.

Other than remotely connecting with the PSP is slower, but I reckon if I turn off the ticker thing that will sort it. Perhaps the themes may affect the speed too. Will need to experiment.
