Admittedly game developers just used to give games black bars to make up for the difference in scan lines between PAL and NTSC and they would simply drop the frame rate to match 50hz, from 60hz. You just had to look at an NTSC and PAL game side by side to see this. PAL games were definitely slower.
Hence why I always imported.
At least it gives people less ammunition, in this case.

The fixation is that it's a number that allows people to argue about which system is better. With the systems being so similar these days it has to come down to smaller things. It's not like a few generations ago where there were huge differences. Personally, it doesn't bother me at all, the only thing that does is the constant chorus of rabid fanboys shouting about it. Things are getting better on the Xbox and if it can match the PS4 then that's...
Why would anyone ever give you a disagree for that statement?
It's like someone actually saying they're scared and that they'll be pissed off if Xbox performs as well as PS4 on a game. That's absurd no matter what side you're on. It's like a fanboy (not the good kind) actually admitting that they're a fanboy and, let's face it, none of them ever do.
Games, as a medium, are very different to film, TV, music and books in that having seen and heard them you still haven't had the experience of them.
If anything a video of a game on YouTube is free advertising. Game makers are getting more money from the increased sales (as long as the game is good and portrayed that way by the majority).
A lot of people said he always has been.
I love FEZ though.
Bubble up.
That's the right attitude.
Agreed. I loved the nods to Mario Paint in the Mario Maker video. Does that show my age? Haha!
Yeah, because stylised graphics = PS2 game.
Moron.
Oh and:-
'it's one of there biggest games for the year'
There = a location. e.g. 'Go over there'
Their = posession e.g. 'Their hair is on fire'
They're = contraction of 'they' and 'are'.
To correct your statement:
'it's one of their biggest games for the year'
Another issue with VR on consoles is the the extra processing power required for a dual image. 3D games can't have the same visual fidelity and resolution as a normal game. Something that console gamers probably wouldn't warm to. It's fine on a scalable platform like PC but a console with a fixed configuration is never going to be able to do the same.
Because, as Arne Meyer of Naughty Dog said, things like this can make people (the press) feel like they're being "snubbed" by the developers of a game, by not being invited to view the demo.
This could negatively affect attitudes towards the product they are working hard on and may end with them not getting the coverage they deserve.
Makes sense.
I know Samurai Warriors 4 and Little Big Planet 3 are exclusive, but what are the other two? I thought all of the others were coming out on Xbox too.
I love the head tracking in BF4 when flying a helicopter or plane. It allows you to concentrate on flying and being able to literally look out or down to the ground by turning your head feels like a revelation. It genuinely makes me feel like I'm flying a real helicopter when played on a huge screen.
Just look at those lighting mods for GTA4 if you're wondering if lighting makes a big difference to a game. It can be astounding.
The article doesn't have it's facts straight. In fact, the writer seems to have distorted the truth by making an assumption that it will require an always on connection to function. As far as I am aware this has never been stated by MS and there is nothing in the small print for GwG about it. I can imagine why the writer would say it.
As usual people are taking it as fact because it suits.
Clickbait.
I just did a quick search online a...
@dodgemoose
If they're predisposed to do something like this then any medium can be the trigger for their acts. If it isn't one thing then it'll be another.
I'm not saying for a moment that something cannot be a trigger for that person but the very fact that they have it in them to be triggered means that if one thing doesn't cause it then another probably will.
Double post
@Guitardr85
It's unbelievable that whenever someone goes on a killing spree there's reports of 'the murderer owned a copy of GTA!'.
The GTA series has sold over 150 million copies alone. That's probably, pretty much, every gaming male between the ages of 18 and 45 and then some. Yeah, based on those statistics it definitely turns people into sadistic killers.
Edit: loving the disagree. So, you think these games do correla...
Forgive me if I'm wrong but didn't they already do that? The LIVE Gold part, not the price part, obviously.
Haha!
