Wonder how long it take for this mod to get the full treatment. ARMA 2 has been top seller on Steam for a while now.
(not saying it should or anything, just curious.)
I'm confused now, who's upset? British or Americans? Sounds like both. Does it really matter?
This is just "controversy" marketing to get people talking about the game. I honestly don't see how you can set a game in the American revolution and not have a pro-American theme to it. It wasn't like the Redcoats came here on some humanitarian aid mission.
My ancestors were Hessian so...yea:P
I agree that its not a huge deal, but in the Alien franchise women play a very important part. So I don't think its petty to ask for them to be included.
F***ing Oddjob. Nobody was allowed to pick him when we played.
THQ is in a bad spot, but I believe they'll still be around. They have good IP's. They are also one of the last publishers still involved with RTS games. They aren't going to fail.
LucasArts is the worst dev/pub ever.
Quest for Bush (Night of Bush Capturing).
That has to be the title of a porno.
Crysis 2 could have dx50, doesn't make the game any good. Crysis was its own game Crysis 2 was trying too hard to be COD.
The problem is you are only using 2 senses when playing a game so you are limited in the amount of realism you can have in the first place.
ARMA 2 offers sim qualities but has very clunky controls which remind you constantly that you aren't there. The technical aspects are there, its just not immersive. (there may be mods that help the clunky controls so don't take this as a slam against ARMA)
In all honesty "hurry up and wait" won't tra...
Am I the only one who hated FFVII? I tried to play it and 10 min in my brain just wanted escape my skull out of boredom.
I'm not trashing the game, and I will acknowledge its greatness to those who love it. But 10 min of FFVII is why I never so much as looked at another FF game. Just odd that its considered the best one.
As for a remake, going off of the stuff people say about the game, it would be a terrible idea. Its a minefield.
I'll disagree that it will be like SWTOR, though how the game turns out is "iffy" at best.
EA is clearly trying to copy the success of others. SWTOR is trying to emulate WoW just enough to cash in on its success. Give players the same feel of WoW but with a whole new look.
I don't see ESO being used the same way. Its success though is another matter entirely.
Totally agree with you on pay methods though.
Maybe just a streaming service or a site for small casual titles that are F2P. Probably something to do with handhelds too.
LucasArts has almost no weight in the games industry. Only thing they have that's worth a damn is the Star Wars license, which they have worked very hard to destroy over the years.
Depends on the game. Deus Ex HR would have been far better without them. Its honestly my only issue with that game.
Those aren't "broken" endings. They may not have been the best but they didn't break fundamental rules of storytelling. ME3 was literally broken. There are rules in storytelling for a reason and BioWare broke nearly all of them. From the "beam run" on it was a complete mess. Whats worse is the fact we know what they are capable of. They spend the previous 90% of the game showing us. (yes, the Anderson dialog was great, but it doesn't make up for the space-brat....
@EVILDEAD
Not arguing total numbers of likes vs. dislikes, just the vocal bunch. Can't assume that the rest of the millions who bought the game liked it or disliked it. Whats important are the ones that tell you, and 60k is quite a large number of people commenting on a game, let alone one specific part.
I highly doubt BioWare would have changed a thing if they felt the vast majority liked it. I'm not saying things haven't changed, but if it had ...
LOL
+1
So Lara Croft fighting off an attacker and killing him is weak?
While sexism and racism exist in our culture, there are times when folks get overly sensitive about it. They actively look for it and end up seeing what they want to see in order to confirm their beliefs. This is why a few individuals saw Lara Croft being raped when those of us of a sound and rational mind saw nothing of the sort.
Its ironic really that those upset about the portrayal of women ...
Only 14k? 60k had an issue with it in the first place. I don't know if the majority are happy or not but 14k is a pretty low number compared how many didn't like it.
Honestly, I think most stopped caring.
He said it was stupid because it is stupid. People are bitching about Ubi not presenting visual confirmation on what they said. That's stupid.
