This is a very contreversial excuse that Avalanche is giving. I can see where these guys are coming from - They simply don't want to spend a plethora of cash on a system with a very little amount of users. @Auragenz ~ Yeah it's a short list, but at least it's SOMETHING right? And even so, all those games are QUALITY , high-demand titles. So even if it is a bit lightweight, that's still pretty good.
And hey, that list doesn't even include unannounced titles, as well as confirmed first-party titles. That's just all the 3rd-party games that have been CONFIRMED to be hitting the system, so far.
Well, the rumor is that EA wanted to run all of the Wii U's online systems through their Origin service. This would mean that Nintendo would practically own only half of THEIR own system, seeing that the online-side of the system would be overseered by someone else. So in the end, they said no to EA. Why are people freaking out over this?
A.) This is ONE developer.
B.) They said it's because the system "has a small install base." So that means that when the Wii U's sales pick up, then we could see them start developing.
C.) The Wii U already has a nice sleuth of confirmed games coming:
- Rayman Legends
- Project CARS
- The Wonderful 101
- Bayonetta 2
- Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag

Wait, so let me get this straight:
A.) They have FB3 running on 360 and PS3 ~ 8-year old systems that are WEAKER than the Wii U.
B.) Criterion was able to develop the Wii U version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted with visuals that are comparable to the PC version of the game.
C.) Devs have CryEngine 3 running on the Wii U quite fine - and I hear that's more advanced than FrostBite.

Nintendo Direct is an online video presentation that has been around for about two years now. It is here that Nintendo has been making some pretty stellar announcements.

Obnoxious statement is obnoxious. Why don't they make a game like Gran Turismo, Uncharted, or InFamous on the Wii U, so I don't have to pay $500+ dollars to play those games on a PS4?

At least buying used games are LEGAL. Piracy is ILLEGAL. With Piracy, you're playing a payware game for free, causing devs to automatically lose money. With used games, one person ALREADY BOUGHT the game, so the profit was already made, and unit is counted as ALREADY sold.

I don't see how Wii U is following the path of it's predecessor. In all honesty, it seems to be less casual-friendly than the Wii - which was pretty much the heart of the Wii's success ~ the causal market.
With the Wii U, it seems Nintendo wants to either strike a balance between "hardcore" and "casual" or just go mostly for "hardcore" entirely.
