I'd have to say, my favorite roll she's played is definitely Shin from Shin-Chan, followed closely with her part as Kaine in Nier. She is one of my favorite voice actors, along with Cam Clarke (The original Kanaeda from Akira, Leonardo in the original Ninja Turtles, and Liquid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2) and Steve Blum (Spike in Cowboy Bebop, Mugen in Samurai Champloo, Grayson Hunt in Bulletstorm, and an ungodly number of other roles).
In order to build up a high multiplier, you have to time your button presses. In other words, don't keep hitting the attack button or counter button while you are in combat. Wait until Batman has finished his first attack, then hold a direction in which there is an enemy and press the attack button either just as he is finishing his attack or up to about two seconds afterward. You can string together dodges with that as well, so you can hit someone, press the double button dodge over some...
I think what Rocksmith is doing is great, and I'd love to see this expand with a drum version eventually (using drum triggers to tell if you've hit your drumhead or not). The one downfall I see though, is that there really is nothing that caters to metalheads, punks, or really any of the sub-genres around those. In general, there is a lot of mainstream rock/grunge, a bit of classic rock, and a few odds and ends from experimental or progressive bands. So I'd love to see a more robu...
This is quite a packed week. I had no clue that Sam and Max season two was even planned for a PSN release. With all the other projects on Telltale Games' plate (The new Jurassic Park, The Fables game(s), The Walking Dead game(s), and the new Kings Quest games), and the fact that this is an older release, I thought it wasn't going to happen at all. In any case, I'll be grabbing that for sure, as well as Payday, Okabu, and Dungeon Defender off the store. All these look awesome and I...
@mandf, glad you're enjoying it bud. Like I said, I actually had to quit because the control bug was starting to act up so often it had been consistently killing me. I would sometimes dodge away from an enemy, have enough time to get a quick health boost in, so I hit square to drink a flask, and he'd stand there doing nothing. A few seconds pass and I realize he isn't doing anything, and then the moment I go to defend with my shield is when the flask activates, essentially killing...
Actually Mandf, you could play with friends on Demon's Souls, it was just a bit of a hassle. You had to be in the same area with one player human and the others in soul form. The players in soul form would put their soul signs down, then the human player could summon them. It was easiest to coordinate that by having a text chat open or communicating via mics on PC to tell each other when you were going to place your sign down, and specifics on where it would be. Obviously they wanted to e...
The game currently has problems with their summoning system. I was looking all the info up online that I could find last night. From the info I found, it seems that that only a couple summon signs will potentially (not guaranteed) show up in anyone's world at any time, which also means that there is no way to know where they may show up. The whole conversion to a peer-to-peer system really screwed things up royally for gaming online on this. I've had my soulsign out for upwards of an ...
You know, looking at the way these HD collections have been working (especially Sony's IPs), I think you can almost expect a new Jak announcement shortly before or after this HD collection releases. I say this because of the trend they have followed: GoW Collection preceded the GoW3 release by about four months. Sly Collection released in November 2010 with an announcement six months later about a new Sly game in the works. Ico/SOTC Collection was released just recently now, with anticipa...
This DLC is actually amazingly fun, and well worth the $4. The breakdown in this review is nice and I too have been disheartened upon reaching round 7 only to die and have to start over, but it's also a lot of fun having a challenge there.
Hands-down the best part about this though is bringing a buddy with you to play this co-op (this was also my favorite aspect about the main game content). The added respawn chambers make the absurdly hard rounds much more balanced, and...
Like ReservoirDog said, Gamefly is certainly an option, however I'd also like to bring up another thought there, which is using Gamefly's used games selection. Unlike buying from other places, Gamefly's store guarantees that you get the original box and manual/inserts, with a disc that they've tested to ensure it works. While I might have some qualms with Gamefly's shipping service for their rentals, I think their policies on selling used games are hands-down the best. And...
I think what he meant was that this is more of a review for old fans of the game that want to know how it technically stacks up to the original, and if it warrants a purchase. I'm inclined to agree with a lot of the reasoning, and even some of the scores.
I have to say though, I actually think audio should receive further criticism and possibly a lower score because listening to any dialogue and even some sound effects that happen when you aren't in a cutscene of som...
You have to go to Subway.com and once you get there, you go to the second tab in the main window, titled "SUBWAY Taste for Adventure". Click the Play Now button and then it'll ask you for your email address, name, etc, and after entering that info, then you will have the chance to enter that code you were given. After that, you select to redeem the prize for the first option there for the early multiplayer access and it will give you a PSN code to use on the PSN store.

I believe it's actually every 21 oz. cup that comes with a code for it. I don't think it's based on luck like a scratch-off or anything. Although I suppose we will find out for sure when the promotion begins. Also, I talked with several local Subways, and one of the managers said that they don't receive and can't talk much about the upcoming promotions actually until the first of the month. So don't be surprised if you can't get any info until the first of October....
I completely agree. It was a massively fun game, and probably was one of the most enjoyable games I have played in a long time, however the original Deus Ex still remains as my favorite. To add on to your points, there are a few things I'd like to say as well.
Specifically, the removal of all melee weapons in favor of the takedowns was my least favorite change. Melee weapons played a key part in the original, including the "Dragon's Tooth" mission, and even...
Indeed. I think it was a bit of an oversight with this game. Some things worked really well for the AI, like if a fire-fight broke out in a back alley, the cops/enemies wouldn't automatically assuming that you were one of the guys shooting as long as you have your gun holstered. This can also be a downfall though, because you can start a shootout anywhere just for fun, kill/knockout everyone, put your weapon away, and freely walk away from the crime. As long as you holster your weapon bef...
I must say, I am really enjoying the game thus far. I'm about halfway through the second "act" right now, and it really captures the essence and style of the original game amazingly well. I thoroughly enjoy the characters, the story, and the amount of options they've put in for every scenario. However, the original Deus Ex is one of my all time favorite games, so I had pretty high expectations for this game. As such, I feel that there were some more improvements that could h...
Very well said WhiteLightning. I share a lot of that sentiment and will always remember different characters because of this. Tommy Vercetti because of Ray Liotta's awesome performance, Emperor Uriel Septim because of Patrick Stewart's iconic voice, and Wheatley due to Stephen Merchant's sheer talent and dry wit.
I will however say that just the same, the celebrities performing voice acting work need to know how to perform their parts, otherwise the game can easil...
I'm into a lot heavier music, and some of my favorites on the Rock Band Network so far have been "Arsis - We are the Nightmare", "Between the Buried and Me - Mordecai", and "GWAR - Let Us Slay". I've been dying for them to get more of the obscure bands and genres on there that I enjoy, like 90's hardcore bands or similar stuff (such as All Else Failed, Shai Hulud, Snapcase, Sick of it all), actual death metal and technical death metal (like Obscura, A...
Ah weird, I must have misread it. I could have sworn it initially said $19.99. Thanks for mentioning that, and I'll most likely be grabbing that as well now.
Well said Thom. I've also really been enjoying the game, however the freezes, glitches, etc. really detract from the overall experience, and the game itself isn't quite all they were promising and hyping it to be.
With all that they were talking about for the "Creation Engine", how the world was said to be more alive and active and how they were breaking away from their prior games so much, it seems all too similar to their work on the Gamebryo Engine. NPCs ...
