"I'd say the only info any dev had of the release date of the console was that it would definitely be Q4 2013, but good lucking convincing the converted otherwise"

It's certainly a confidence, but I would say they would be given more information. It's extremely difficult when you have developers working towards a Q4 release and suddenly they find out at Gamescom that they absolutely must have the game done by 11/15 to meet launch.

What ...

Sort of sad / surprised DeathSpank 3 wasn't listed. That ending was pretty funny.

Leaks have been confirmed and are usually clarified / explained. One of the most notable ones was PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

A specially designed gamepad seems like a better bonus. You end up looking at the controller WAY more than the system.

Despite having a ratings system... that is not at ALL how the mobile game racket works.

Typically what happens is companies look for a middle man (like FreeMyApps) and pay them to do a promotion on their game. These sites then ask people to download the app (usually because it's free), which results in the app going up in ratings. Other sites also offer additional perks / bonuses for posting reviews, so their overall value goes up. It's also...

1) Never said you needed Direct TV.
2) That is all the voucher does.

"For fans who are already DirecTV and NFL Sunday Ticket Max subscribers, you can access NFL Sunday Ticket on your computer, tablet, and mobile devices using your current DirecTV username and password."

"If I have DirecTV service but not NFL Sunday Ticket, what does this offer me?
You can use the included code to access NFL Sunday Ticket on computer, tablet, an...

Well it can be hard to follow promos / bonuses, since Direct TV doesn't always promote their promotions. Like you can see on a lot of deal sites that people have threatened to leave Direct TV and were rewarded with the Sunday ticket. Considering it's their biggest draw, which they're about to lose exclusivity over... it's certainly possible to get it for free.

However, this includes the online version and not everyone will be into that, etc.

Honestly... I thought this was quite possibly the worst CE ever made. The biggest problem is all the research, limits, guidelines, restrictions and conditions that go into even making the Sunday ticket viable.

While it's obvious, there is a big difference between something being assumed and known.

The biggest problem is CoD Ghosts releases on the same day. Why is that a problem?

I find it impossible to believe they would implement the upgrade program with one of the biggest sellers being a launch title. Not to mention that the XB1 launching with CoD wasn't rumored / hyped / announced by now.

Because they're completely different?

I get Netflix and I get the ability to stream whatever they have for the period of my subscription. Most people will watch their movie and be happy, since how many people watch THAT many movies a second time?

Plus gives you a finite number of games that you take possession of and own till your sub runs out. This is the main draw, plus most people refer to the games as being free instead of "subscription based r...

Well Plants vs Zombies for the Vita was already free, so that removes one of the choices. Though I am willing to bet the two games will be AC:L and LBP Vita. LBP 1 was given away with plus subs at the start (EU), was a first month game in Japan and was part of the Welcome Back Package as was the PSP version. LBP 2 was also part of the original year long IGC, which was replaced with LBP Karting. Seems logical with the year long Vita games ending and how big / popular the series is. AC:L also s...

" Anyway I still agree that the price of the card is high if you have a psn plus account with lots of free games."

How exactly can the cost be high if you have a Plus account? While you would ideally want a bigger memory card for that, you're still getting games to offset that cost.

Like if you want Gravity Daze ($20*), Uncharted ($25), WipEout ($17), then you've already paid off your Plus for a year and have $12 against a memory card. Now...

Are you really going to trust some random YouTubers claim as a factual account of things that happened?

4707d ago 11 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well yes, since you aren't doing anything to actually "upgrade it". These programs require you to give up (at least the physical version) your copy in exchange for a new copy (thus upgrading). Even if you save $10 dollars (lets be reasonable and say $30, since you could no doubt make $30 dollars on GTA V if you sold it even at that point), then you're still getting what you want and saving a few bucks at that.

Honestly there is no way you can lose, since yo...

So you're mad at Sony for not only giving you the chance to upgrade your games, but allowing developers to set the price (logically resulting in more games supporting it) because they could charge more for them? Makes sense.

Here is the problem with that logic. By saying this, Sony is pretty much saying "not our fault that THEY want to screw you", which means any developer expecting to "charge close to full price!" will be accountable for this choice. ...

@ PopRocks359

My point is that actions have consequences. These choices have RESULTED in the Wii U (like the Wii) being seen as a "secondary console". Like you own a XB1 or PS4 for your main games and your Wii U for Nintendo exclusives, which is pretty much what the Wii was viewed as this generation.

Nintendo got this branding because they made it hard for third party developers to support them. Increased cost to manufacture these things, awkward c...

I would argue that it is actually Nintendo's fault and have no one to blame besides themselves.

This started WAY back in the day on the N64, since everyone went disc besides them. This increased production costs on publishers / developers and had less space than a disc to work with (according to a wiki the cart had 8 mb of space vs 650 mb for a disc).

When the Gamecube came out, Nintendo decided to use mini discs, which had decreased capacity and cost mor...

@ Perjoss

Logically if they have DR 3 preordered than they have / want a Xbox One. Sure waiting for a review might make sense down the road, but this is one of the few exclusively next gen titles that would justify / rationalize a purchase of a next gen console (I really hope someone isn't buying a PS4 / XB1 for next gen CoD / BF alone). So it would make sense to make sure you get both if you want them, over waiting for reviews and possibly have a XB1 with nothing awesome...

Yes, but it's not as simple as you might think...

You would have to make an EU account.
Figure out some way to load money on the account (US cash / codes will not work).
Since a EU Plus sub is £40, you'll end up paying $62+ dollars.
Vita games absolutely require that account and you'll lose the ability to get trophies.
etc
