@ Trafalger
After reading your post... I can't help but think you live under a rock. Believe it or not. Most "Game Journalists" post things that are negative, because very rarely do people care about what is doing well. Furthermore, this happens to all 3 companies and is far from something exclusive to M$ or the Xbox One.
Nintendo - Wii U is dead, Wii U sales, Third Party support, DLC, DD, etc.
Sony - Vita almost anything, does remote pl...
Indeed, though sometimes we get more "truthful" answers from companies and those go over pretty poorly too. Randy Pitchford is a perfect example of this. Some of his logic / comments towards Borderlands just make no sense. Like one of those asserted that level 51+ would break the game (both literally and figuratively) and in a later interview he basically had no intention of ever doing level 51+ despite all the clues. Several months later... apparently we can level to 72.
@ JQM78
Killzone 1 / 3/ 3 MP were easy platinums and 2 was only hard due to elite mode (the top 1% or whatever trophy was always doable, just required an unknown amount of time). So historically speaking, it should be an easy platinum.
Not really... While it sucks one region might get it ahead of others and another region might get it last. These scores tend to even out in the long term or even a month later. Like the amount you play has infinitely more impact than simply playing it first. If you don't believe me, then check out trophy leaderboards. Maybe 1 out of every 50 (probably even higher...) a reviewer will platinum it before anyone else has a chance. Even then, your skill will have as much impact as the time you...
"I don't know why they're taking so long to do something so standard like this."
Because Nintendo is slow to embrace change. Or at least the shift to online / DD that Sony / M$ have embraced. Like friend codes were dated long before Nintendo introduced them, but they not only outlived the Wii, but still exist on the 3DS. We're sadly at a point where Nintendo needs to do a massive revision, which will likely take a while. Especially since implementing acc...
Why?
They cost more and the feature is rarely used.
Actually, an error is very likely.
1) The Vita is just starting to get steam with the US / EU price drop joining Japan.
2) It's very rare that they discontinue an older model before a newer one is announced. For instance, Apple still has the iPhone 4 / 4S and iPad 2. Nintendo apparently was still making DSi's and is most likely still making Wii's. The fact that the others aren't might mean Black is discontinued, but that would be even more shocking th...
"Im not sure if thats brilliant or idiotic..."
It's idiotic. Not because of anything you said, but the fact that Black Friday is filled with crazy people and long lines. I might wait in a line for a console launch, maybe go in when it opened for my preorder, but I would NOT brave a console launch with all the crazy Black Friday people. Probably end up trampled before I got my system.
A) Sony doesn't decide what is and isn't a cross buy; the publisher does.
B) Typically only games with "differences" or released later aren't cross-buy.
C) Indeed! Think of all the loss sales from the people that spent over $600 dollars on the PS4 and Vita. Seriously though, it will have no impact. If I want to play Minecraft on the go, then I'll just buy a version I can play locally without wifi. If I want to play a version at home, then I'll buy...
The lack of proper branding is the issue, not the name. Like you can say the same about the 3DS, yet that sells perfectly alright.
I can't say I care (don't plan on live streaming), but I can understand why people would be pissed. At that type of resolution you'll miss out on most of the small things and a lot of people won't give your uploads the time of day (niche games might do fine though).
Ever hear of the expression "Every man has his price"?
Simply put, people might not forgive / forget / accept or even like what happens, but there is something that will make them compromise their principals for it.
Like if Capcom offered Megaman Legends 3 / Rockman Dash 3 for $80 dollars, then there would be some complaints, but the game would STILL sell. Too many hardcore fans want to see this series continue and will overlook any negative thing...
Actually... probably the opposite will happen.
3D was a cool gimmick, but I literally never use it. It has a lot of negatives and is not something I would cry about if Nintendo dropped on the next DS model. I doubt I am the only one who feels this way (considering they made this thing... I assume more thought went into it than lowering costs), so the trivial, but existent price difference will appeal to some people. Also the removal of the hinges will result in less people b...
"I think it's a brilliant idea to have an entry level handheld for kids."
Yes, but the 3DS was constantly on sale for roughly the same price, so the MSRP on this isn't really that helpful. Also it's not like you couldn't get a used one for a lot less if you absolutely wanted it. CB has 3DS's for $100 refurb and plenty of kids would be more than happy to just have it, over absolutely needing it to be new.
In fact, a lot of my CL ...
Honestly, it fails on several levels.
Price? $130 vs $170 vs $200. However, the 3DS has a long history of going on sale for $130 or so and the XL for $170 or so, which makes the MSRP point moot.
Value? The system is losing some portability, the main gimmick (now it's just a DS with better specs) and really only works for Nintendo. No hinges means less repairs and the removal of 3D means far lower production costs.
Portability? Removing the flip makes it ...
@ Hakoom
Your arrogance is quite comical.
"make a video of all the games you just listed ( u wont even scratch 100trophies) "
I do believe I said and the ones you did. So it would be like 180 in only 1 hour 38 minutes. Would that be a new world record? How about just syncing cross-save platinums? You could easily hit 200+ trophies in 10 minutes if you do it that way and your score would get owned.
"my video h...
Not that it matters, but it's based off how you play and not how much you play.
Like if you get the blessings / get the coin to score bonus / don't max out every difficulty / play long sets / have a good build / eat score boosting items, then you'll no doubt hit 99 in a LOT less time than simply playing 2 or 3 stages in a row and then quitting or constantly going back to town.
Honestly. There is nothing impressive going on here...
Of the games he did, PSNProfiles lists the fastest 50 people as having mostly scores with 9 minutes and some seconds. Even then, you could beat it by doing a lot of the same games he did, but going after some of the 1 - 3 minute 100%'s (Paint Park, Detuned, Linger in Darkness, that stupid Mayo game). Though when push comes to shove, this is just Hakoom being the attention whore most people hate.

I believe Sly Cooper for the Vita was a cross save game that instantly gives the platinum like some of the cross-buy titles.
The largest PSN download is 3.3 gb, so at least 4 gb I would assume.
In either case, you also have to remember that the Vita has a smaller screen, which means a Vita game will use smaller images than the PS3. Something like 960 x 544 for the VIta and 1280×720 for 720 or 1920x1080 for 1080. However, this isn't the troubling part.
Despite Rayman Legends looking fantastic; Origins was only 1.4 gb for the PS3 version and 932 MB for the PSV version. Now ...
