Certainly the Wii will come down eventually, but not nearly as fast as the PS3 or even, possibly the 360. The components in the PS3 are more bleeding edge so they will come down in price more drastically than those of the Wii. Also it's already the least expensive, selling well. why drop the price?
My point is that they have less to save in hardware costs and little incentive to reduce the price so I don't expect them to anytime soon. Most likely they will to combat the price ...
Japan doesn't like non-Japanese electronics in general. And why would they? Japan is only the electronics capital of the world and I'm pretty sure they are proud of it. More specifically regarding the 360 I think that they aren't impressed with it's build quality, RRoD aside I think the power brick and noisy fan/disc drive are serious issues to the Japanese consumer from an aesthetic point of view - imagine how loud that would be if you lived in a tiny Tokyo apartment! Finallly, name a promis...
"After the jump" has been around for a lot longer than that. It indicates that you must either scroll down past the ads or click a link to "read more" or both. It's sort of equivalent to "below the fold" in newspaper journalism.
It's selling faster than the PS2. You know, the best selling console of all time. So how is that horrible?
It's pretty realistic in the way that it looks and, more importantly, plays - in the way that sports games generally do. I wasn't referring to the controls. I don't think the Wiimote has the subtlety to handle this type of gameplay - handling different combinations of spin/speed etc. You'd have to use the nunchuck or button presses to modify your shot and by then the illusion is broken - it may as well be a gamepad.
We keep hearing about what a pain it is for devs to release anything on XBLM - most recently regarding unreal. We'll see how it shakes out.
We don't have any official word on pricing or packages but you can check ebgames.com for their tentative pricing. Word is you can get the game with either a guitar, a mic, or drums or all three and can buy each separately. They have the bundle with game, mic, guitar, and drums listed for $199 but it's not official yet.
His replacement was announced alongside his resignation: Don Mattrick, the founder of Distinctive Software and a former president of Electronic Arts.
"Project Manager Casey Hudson explained the term "Mass Effect" as follows:
Inside the game universe, mass effect is a newly discovered (for humans anyway) physics phenomenon that has properties along the lines of other physics forces such as gravity and electromagnetism. It's what physicists in real life are currently calling "dark energy," as an explanation for the accelerating expansion of the universe -- which has only recently been discovered and fl...
This game is really great on 360 - does a pretty good job of replicating the actual sport. I can't see how it would be good on the Wii - it's cool that they are trying and maybe they'll get it right, but I'm not too optimistic.
I don't see why this game couldn't be done on PS3. If they're going to spend years making an engine why not get optimized versions for consoles - expand your market. It's done well for Epic, why not Crytek?
The trailer MS showed was old news by then anyway - I don't know why they bothered.
"Do you have tons of shooter playing friends on XBL?", "Do you like to play online for free?", "Do you hate screens larger than 2.5 inches?" (DS Version, lolz)
I don't see why people get so crazy worked up about it. I mean, I get it, but who cares. If you only have one system you're not going to go out and buy another one to play a multi-plat. Personally I'd rather just have every game be exclusive and optimized for it's chosen platform, but in the...
Pretty sure that's the "entertainment bundle" or whatever that comes with the Family Guy collection.
People need to chill - it's not going to be a bundle forever, or probably for very long at all - and the price will keep dropping. If I traveled a lot more and had a lot of cash to burn I'd probably pick up a PSP - I just don't enjoy handheld gaming all that much. My DS gets so lonely when I'm at home.
Twisted Metal didn't really do it for me, but if has some Warhawk quality multiplayer then bring it on!
Me too!
My PS3 just wet itself!
The game is going to look and play great on both systems. "Which controller do you prefer?" is a far more important question than "Which version will be better?" if you ask me.
Probably the Scene-It controller?
