I know in music "Gold" means that you've "sold" 500,000 copies. "Sold" just means orders not point of sale sales.

SotC is the only one on there that I think is a true must play. That and Ratchet & Clank (except Deadlocked) are pretty much the only games I get my proselytize on for.
I think the author is trying to hard to be esoteric or hardcore. Trying to pick games that we haven't all already played.
I'm pretty sure that if Mass Effect sold only 15 copies we'd never get to see what happens in parts 2 and 3. And Bioware would probably go out of business. So I certainly do care if it sells well.
And I think people are making a big stink about the "perfect storm" because Peter Moore made big stink about it at the press conference. Makes no difference to me, just calling it like I see it.
PS3 is certainly the lead platform and the only platform that we know for a fact it's being developed on. But that isn't the same thing as being "confirmed exclusive". It very well may be, it very well may not. Way too early to make a big deal about it.
I think that Microsoft's point with the "perfect storm" business was that Madden, Halo, and GTA are all proven, best-selling franchises. I thought this was funny because both GTA and Madden sold far far better on PS2, but I digress.

I think the biggest technical challenge in GTA4 is streaming a world of that size and detail - and doing it without a HDD must be harder than not. Additionally the PS3s processor is more geared towards the type of things we keep hearing about like NPCs doing a lot more than walking around etc.
I'm perfectly willing to admit that there could be (probably are) hurdles on both platforms that have lead to the delay. Maybe Rockstar needs more time to get up to speed on the PS3 - tha...
I don't mind that much - I already have too many games to play this fall. I can play GTA next summer.

In a free market economy worth is determined by what someone is willing to pay for something. iPhones are selling out at that price point so it's not unfair to say that it's "worth $600" though certainly many people, myself among them, aren't willing to pay that much for it.
I think it's gonna be $30 - you can get that headset for about $30 so add in $30 for the game and $0 for the "bonus content" and the disk is maybe a slightly better value. Really it would come down to if you want the headset or not or if you just really want the disc. I hope a lot of people go for the headset so more folks will have them for all PSN games.
$20 would be cool, but then the disc version is a bit of a rip-off.

I wish I could just buy a game and not wonder if a "better" version is coming along in a few months. Some games I just can't wait for, but for the ones that I can it can be sort of frustrating to try and figure out. I would think that, if this game were being developed for PS3 - and it's certainly been rumored enough - that the developers can't talk about it for a certain amount of time, or don't want to as it could hurt sales on the initial platform versions.
