I think these are clearly different builds - considering the disparity. I think in the end they'll both look and play well. The difference for me comes down to the fact that I like the PS3 controller better and would rather not pay to play online - so unless they really screw it up, and I don't think that's going to happen, I'll probably go with the PS3 version.

I think it would be great if gaming award shows dropped categories like "Hottest Babe" in exchange for thing like "Best Art Direction". They should take a cue from the Academy Awards and the like - try and take the gaming industry seriously for once instead of try in to be like the MTV Movie Awards.

Do you have a PS3? I'm guessing no. RFOM has easily the most impressive AI I've seen in a console game. I actually just played through Halo 1 and 2 and I have to disagree. I think the Halo did a good job with AI, particularly good given when it came out, but RFOM is just better. It's funny, I noticed how much better the physics were in Halo compared to Gears and the AI was pretty much on par. I found places in both Halo and Gears when you can walk up on the side of an enemy - where you should...

The Core was a bad move from the get go. I'll never get why Microsoft went from standard HDD on Xbox to optional HDD on the 360. Price point is the only logical argument, but they launched a year ahead - so I still don't get it.
It's lame that developers have had to develop games as though there isn't an HDD when the vast majority do have them. That's my main gripe with the Core's existence.

OK - all video game audio is going to be compressed somehow. It's how much, or rather how little, that counts. Less is more here in a big way.
Oblivion also had like 2 male voices and 2 female voices for hundreds of different people. I don't know if we should point to that game as the role model.
That's some seriously fuzzy logic there. You think that they have different music and sound effects for each region? It says 10 gigs of SOUND not LANGUAGES. Sure they could get that down if they didn't include as many languages, probably enough to fit on a DVD 9 - "fit" being the keyword. It would certainly still be taking up a mess of space.

That is an excruciatingly bad Jamiroquai cover - the one in Elite Beats Agents wasn't great, but it was a million times better than this one.

The 360 sales charts always seem weird - didn't Mircrosoft say the sold 10 million as of the close of 2006? That would mean they haven't even sold half a million in 7 months - which contradicts what we've been hearing. More likely that they didn't hit their goal last year I would think. I also wonder how RRoD comes in to play - I guess most people are getting refurbs as replacements so it probably doesn't have a huge impact.
