1.93 is STILL not posted

Sure. Fine. Whatever.
But for goodness sake can't I have a new X-Wing?!?!? I loved that game.
I pretty much always do it that way, but it's not posted online yet. Which sucks because the download failed on my PS3 and trying to play Warhawk without it is just too frustrating.
I think your confusing British with English - which isn't at all uncommon to do. English, Scottish and Welsh people are all equally British - and they all have different accents. There is no "British" accent. Heck how many different English accents are there - lots! Same goes for Scotland and Wales. Saying "British" accent is like saying American accent - practically every State in America has at least one unique accent.
I'm super psyched for COD4. That and Orange Box are the 2 shooters I gotta get this year.
If I didn't have a PS3 I'd go buy one just to get this demo!!!!!
Lolz.
Seriously though, can't wait for this game. It will roXXor my boXXor-briefs.
I hope they have this in the States. We're getting it day one regardless so we might as well get a free memory stick.
I think a time-bombed demo that let you play for a week and then deleted itself - that you can only download once would be pretty cool for people who might be on the fence about the game. I just think Sony doesn't want to do something that outside of the normal framework - and really, why would they bother with it. The game is selling great as is and has a lot of buzz, positive word of mouth.
If this is true it seems like they're moving towards a 1:1 game to peripheral ratio. Peripherals that don't really add anything to gameplay, to me, kinda feel like cash-ins.
Whether or not this specific rumor is true I do think $399 is the sweet spot for the PS3. If they can get it there for holiday '07 it will probably do very well for them. I sorta don't think the 40gig is likely because I don't believe that a 40gig HDD represents a significant hardware savings over an 80 - who even makes a 40?
I personally think they ought to stick to one SKU once they get there.
I also think the $99 PS2 is pretty likely.
Yeah, there's clearly a ton of potential in there and I can't wait to see what great devs do with it. Insomniac, Naughty Dog, and Sucker Punch, among others (Kojima), will certainly be leading the way - and Sony's massive worldwide studios of course.
Areed. They started to mess with the formula in Up Your Arsenal and it didn't really add to the experience. Then they really messed with it in Deadlocked and it became the only PS2 Ratchet that I can't recommend. I think that it's clear they realized the mistakes they made and decided to go back to what made the series great in the first place - they've said as much in interviews.
Really, when it's that good you don't need to shake things up as much as they tried. Everything ab...
Assuming you mean this year:
What about Harry Potter? Between book 7 and movie 5 I think they've got it all locked up. In the US alone first day book sales were over $250 million, First DAY.
EDIT: Following up; Order Of The Phoenix US Box office so far (it's still in theaters) $286,825,495
We're looking at easily over half a billion well before the end of the year.
This article is saying "the biggest retail launch in entertainm...
I totally get why people are crazy for the Halo multi-player, but I've always been the type of gamer who gets more satisfaction out of single-player experiences. This is why, sad to say, I'm not all that excited for Halo 3. Halo was a really solid, if a bit repetitive, console shooter for it's time - definitely raised the bar for the genre on consoles technically more so than graphically. But I didn't find the story or characters particularly compelling - I think as a first chapter, getting y...
I kinda don't expect a direct sequel - a la SotC2 - but an indirect one like Shadow was to ICO (well a prequel really, but you know what I mean). Something in between the two gameplay wise and perhaps even story wise would be really interesting. Imagine if you took the general gameplay of Shadow and expanded it into more areas - lot's of exciting potential.
Oh man, I hope they do announce something. Can't wait to see what they do next.
I just can't seem to think of any rational reason for them to not remake FF7 - so I think it will happen. It's been long enough since it came out originally that it'll be new to a lot of gamers who have probably heard about how great it was but never played it.
I agree that if they are going to do it we won't hear anything until after FF13 is released.
I really don't think that changing internal hardware components is going to motivate sales in any market unless it enable a significant drop in price. Even this, I think, wouldn't matter in Japan. They just straight up don't like American electronics. In order for them to gain any traction they would have to get Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy as an exclusive and that's just not ever going to make fiscal sense for Square Enix - not going to happen.
lol - i'm not sure if that's supposed to be nice because he'd probably be temporarily banned from Live right now if you had :)
