Gears of War 2 is on the list, it's right beside Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Games that got tying scores are listed beside one another, like God of War Chains of Olympus and World of War Craft King of Lynch both being number 10 because they both averaged 91%
Nice, 7 out of the 10 games listed can be found on a Playstation console, whether it be PS2, PS3, or PSP.
Those pics look like they may be something close to the Collectors Edition version of the game. If Guerrilla sent out Killzone 2 like this to reviewers with the nice packaging, then I'm pretty sure that a Collectors Edition will be announced and if it is, that's the version I'm picking up without a doubt.
I think that M.A.G will probably be the most successful upcoming MMO for the PS3 and it's my most anticipated... I mean, 256 players, I've just got to see something like that in action. I'm also a little interested in The Agency as well.
Another Killzone 2 Christmas wallpaper?! I'm downloading this one right away!
I already have the other KZ2 Christmas wallpaper as my background on my Laptop, my background on my PS3 and as a Wallpaper for my Ipod Touch. Just can't get enough of Killzone 2.
Merry Killzmas and a Happy New Year to everyone... or should I say, a Happy Killzyear, LOL!
Ever since the SNES, I really haven't been that interested in Nintendo consoles. I remember I almost bought a N64, but never did, and I never considered getting a Gamecube at all.
Most people that have Wii's probably only use it several times a year.... the Wii is a nice "Karaoke" console for a party or something though.
If I got a Wii, I would get Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda, and maybe No More Heroes, but there's not enough games on the Wii to really keep me...
Hmmm. I wonder what game they were playing when this happened... maybe they were playing God of War and somehow Poseidon's Rage must have gotten transferred from the game to real life, LOL.
But on a serious note, there is no way I would stab someone over a video game controller. Some people just totally overreact these days.
Yeah, I'd love for Einhander to be released on the PSN. I still have the Einhander demo that came on a SquareSoft Collectors CD with a bunch of other Square demos on it. I've always wanted to buy the full game, but didn't feel like shelling out like $40 or more bucks for it used.
Sony has to bring Legend of the Dragoon to the PSN as well. They published that game, so I don't see why not.
I'm not sure how well Killzone 1 sold, but I know it sold over a million. I think the first Killzone game sold pretty good for it to be on the PS2 because the PS2 was not a shooter console and I own the first Killzone and I love it.
I think a lot of people forget the only reason why the first Killzone game didn't live up to the hype in terms of reviews was because of so many technical issues within the game (A.I. problems and bad framerate). Killzone 2 doesn't have any of those ...
BLACK was really the first shooter on the PS2 that made me love FPS games and it was my favorite FPS game last generation hands down. Until playing BLACK, I was not a big fan of the FPS genre at all.
I loved the long missions, but I just wished the game was longer overall. I'm more of a Single Player gamer and I didn't have an issue with BLACK not having any multiplayer or Online, but I'm sure a BLACK sequel would.
A BLACK sequel would probably be one of my most anti...
The only reason why a lot of 360 mutliplatform games may "outshine the PS3 counterpart" is because many 3rd party developers are just barely scratching the surface with the PS3 and are more used to 360 development. Multiplatform games is not a true test of a console.
As far as Alan Wake goes, I'm not sure if the screenshots shown were from the Xbox 360 version or the PC version. If the screenshots were from the PC version, then obviously the 360 version will not look as...
If the PS3 does indeed get 3D, I definantly can't wait to play games like God of War 3, Uncharted 2, and Killzone 2 in 3D!!!
3D Gaming in combination with Blu-ray will be big selling points for the PS3.
I don't think that Sony dropped the price, it's probably just certain stores in Europe having special pricing on the PS3 for a limited time during the holidays.
David Reeves has literally smashed all rumors about a PS3 price cut in March, so it's a little hard to believe that Sony cut the price to me.
I'm pretty sure whoever wins that Ipod will have it up on Ebay within a few days.
If Lair and Haze turned out to be better games, most likely Factor 5 and Free Radical wouldn't be in the situation that they are in, it has nothing to do with the PS3 being dangerous for small companies to develop for.
If Factor 5 developed Lair exclusively for the Xbox 360 and developed the game the exact same way as the PS3 version, I doubt that their situation would be any brighter because the game would have most likely have had the same dismal sales, and the same thing goes ...
@GiantEnemyLobster,
There's a difference between the 360's hardware issues and the small percentage of PS2's that had disc drive problems and really I don't think that they can even be compared.
Sony didn't knowingly release the PS2 already aware of it's hardware problems like Microsoft did with the 360. The PS2's disc reading problems were resolved with future PS2 models and the PS2 did not have a failure rate no where near as high as the Xbox 360.

@Carbide7,
The first Killzone came out in 2004, not 05'. Aside from the technical issues, to me Killzone 1 was a pretty good game though and it was definantly one of most realistic FPS on the PS2.
And yeah I agree, God of War and Shadow of the Colossus were my favorites in 05' as well. I've beaten Shadow of the Colossus like 4 or 5 times, I just can't get enough of that game.
Nah, I don't think there's no way that Bioshock 2 will be a timed PS3 exclusive. Next year I think that all versions will come out at the same time.... However, I've always had this feeling that Bioshock 2 might be a timed exclusive for the 360 just like the first one was. Microsoft is quick to shell out dollars for timed exclusivity, so I wouldn't be surprised if it happens... but if it does happen, I have Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2, and possibly God of War 3 to look forward to Fall/Late 2009, ...
The PS3 version is the best one to go with anyways just because of the PS3's D-Pad alone. Street Fighter was meant to be played with a good D-pad.
But overall I think the PS3 version outweighs the 360 version:
PS3 D-pad > 360 D-pad
1080p Blu-ray movie > 720p movie
Ryu Figurine > C. Viper Figurine
You can't go wrong with the PS3 version.
The cover art looks awesome and it looks a lot like the unconfirmed/unofficial EU KZ2 Box Art:
http://psnow.es/uploads/ima...
I like the EU Box art a little better, but I do like seeing more of the Helghast on the US version.
The only thing else I'll ask for is a Collectors Edition and I'll be totally satisfied. I don't know if there will be midnight openings for...
