I really almost forgot about the Syphon Filter series. Sony's got so many franchises under their belt, it's hard to recall all of them. I remember playing a demo of one of the Syphon Filter games on the PS1 or PS2, but I never bought any of the games, however I did like the demo I played. I'd defiantly get a Syphon game if it came out on the PS3 though because I really want more games with stealth elements involved.

The Killzone 2 Effect at IGN's offices just couldn't be contained any longer!
Even though qualifying started Dec. 22, 2008, I just got the email from the Playstation Network earlier today about this and I hadn't heard of it until now. I don't know why Sony waited until now to send out the emails, but there's still like 3 weeks left for anyone else that's interested.
I guess it's good to see Japanese gamers opening their minds a little to a different genres. I really think that Japanse gamers should give Western dev. studios a chance and try plenty of other games other than JRPG's. If they are attracted to KZ2 like this, there's defiantly got to be something special or different about the game to them... I wonder what it is....??

All I have to say is this, if Star Ocean 4 will be only on the 360, then there's no reason why FF Versus XIII can't be a PS3 exclusive.

It's Veteran difficulty for me on my first play through.
Elite Difficulty sounds hard just by reading the description, No HUD and No Crosshair?! It will defiantly take some skill to beat KZ2 on Elite mode.

Of course everybody already knows that ME2 will come out on the PC/360, but these days "Multiple Platforms" as stated by the EA representative almost ALWAYS means: PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
The PS3 version wasn't confirmed, but that doesn't mean that it's not coming to the PS3 at all.

Microsoft did publish ME1 (on the 360), but when EA acquired Bioware, they basically bought rights to the Mass Effect franchise, and they can do what they want with it.

I can't believe the guy writing this is actually complaining about the color pallet. Killzone 2 takes place on HELGHAN and Helghan is a very hostile environment. If there was Green Grass everywhere, Rainbows in the background and butterflies in the air, you wouldn't get the "Gritty" and "Unforgiving" atmosphere in Killzone 2.

Killzone 2's lack of 10's does not disappoint me at all.
I mean, there was people automatically expecting KZ2 to flop just because of how KZ1 turned out and All I wanted was for KZ2 to get plenty of high 8's and 9's and live up to the hype and finally shut up all the doubters, and KZ2 has done just that.
I never expected the majority of gaming sites to give KZ2 tons of 10/10's anyways, and I'm happy with it's current review scores.

This is just getting ridiculous. Even though Gears of War and Uncharted have similiar gameplay they are still 2 different type of games.
Uncharted 2 will continue what Uncharted does best, and that is deliver an Amazing Cinematic Story Driven Experience in combination with Great Action.
And Gears of War will continue to do what it does best... deliver B*lls to the Wall Uncut, Raw, Hardcore Action.
I would consider Uncharted more of a Tomb Raider killer, ...
