I have nothing against the Wii, but the Wii definantly has a lot of crappy games (mostly 3rd party). I really don't know why developers keep pushing out such shovelware on the system. Instead of developing shovelware on the Wii that probably doesn't sell well to begin with, those developers could be making AAA games on the PS3 and 360.
The Wii has a "few" good 3rd party games, but most of the Wii's best games are developed/published by Nintendo.
The only is...
Uncharted 2 is definantly a day one purchase for me just like the first Uncharted was. But, I'll hold off on pre-ordering it just in case there's a Collectors Edition.
I've never owned a Sega video game console, but I did play on a couple Sega consoles (Genesis, Dreamcast) when I went over to a friends house way back in the day. I missed out these games when they originally came out, and I'll definantly be buying this.
How is Sony marketing the PS3 to push sales Copying Microsoft? If Marketing is copying according to this guy's headline, then I guess nearly every company has copied each other.
Anyways, With rumors popping up again of a PS3 price cut in March/April and Killzone 2 coming in February, right now is the perfect time to market the heck out of PS3.
When it comes to marketing their games, I think that Sony has done a "pretty" good job, but they need to step it up...
Since the PS3 first came out in Japan, it's sold 2,711,226 units over there. If the PS3 sold that much in a little over 2 years and 1 month, obviously the PS3 sells more than 250,000 units YEARLY.... it's more like about 1+ million consoles yearly.
The Xbox 360 has yet to hit 900K in 3+ years even with all of those JRPG's, the last thing you should be talking about is PS3 sales.
It's pretty normal for console sales to cool off after the Holiday season, and it looks ...
"The Xbox 360 platform was viewed as the perfect platform for Stoked given the console’s rich graphical capabilities"
LOL, One of the reasons the 360 was chosen because of graphical capabilities? Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 says "Hi".
I don't know why the developers didn't just state that the 360 was easier to develop for, it's obvious. The 360 can keep this Snowboarding game, if Sony wanted to bring back a Snowboarding game Exclusively on the PS3,...
Jealous of GTA4 DLC? Heck no. I haven't played GTA4 since the end of last May, just got bored with it and it's not as fun as San Andreas to me.
With Killzone 2 around the corner, the last thing on my mind is Grand Theft Auto 4 DLC. Even if the DLC was coming to PS3, the only thing I would care about in February is KZ2.
However, I do wish that the Fallout 3 DLC was coming to PS3 because it's one of the most addicting games I played in 2008, but I'll easily pass on GTA...
I agree with a lot of the people that posted above... I'll believe it when I see it.
Magazine Ad's, and Advertisement's Online are Nice, but Television Advertisment's is where it's at.
Seeing that the guy mentioned "we'll be seeing Killzone 2 ads everywhere", I guess that's somewhat of a confirmation that there will be plenty of KZ2 television ad's.
Sony's advertisement for the PS3 isn't exactly the best, but they can advertise really good when...
"....It isn't going to be just the gaming division and thats what the industry needs to understand, Sony is a Home electronics Company...."
That's exactly what I was referring to in my post. It's like Gamers (mostly younger gamers) on this site forget that Sony makes a wide range of Electronic products, not just Playstation 3's.
There's many different ways that Sony can cut costs, whether it means laying off people or lowering down production on their Lapto...
The PS3 isn't going anywhere regardless of what people may think. Sony has already laid out the 10 year life cycle for the PS3, they are just around the corner from breaking even on PS3 sales, there's boatloads of PS3 exclusives in development, and as long as there is competition, there will always be a Playstation console on the Market.
Sony has always been a Hardware company and produces some of the most high quality products on the market, and I don't see them going strictly i...
Anyone that has just a PS3 can still play Splinter Cell Conviction because it's coming out on the PC. All I have to do is download that lastest PS3 controller driver, plug my Dualshock 3 to my laptop, and I'm on my way.
http://asia.cnet.com/crave/...
With so many 360 "exclusives" come out on the PC, you almost don't even need a 360 (Left 4 Dead, ...
I know that I'll definantly be seeing her on the Big Screen this Summer in the new Transformers movie, but I'm not a big fan of Tomb Raider and I doubt I'll see the new Tomb Raider movie with Megan... I watched the first Tomb Raider movie with Jolie and enjoyed it (especially the bathtub scene near the beginning), but that's the only Tomb Raider movie I've seen.
Megan sure is smokin' hot though (to me at least).
PS3 exclusives definantly dominate the list, and I was actually a little surprised that Gametrailers didn't list Alan Wake.... I guess the lack of info regarding the game, and not having anything sources pointing it to a 2009 release kept it off the list.
The fact that Gametrailers is playing the Review Build of Killzone 2 right now, it's pretty obvious that that's the reason why it's not in the list, and I'm glad that Gametrailers made mention of it before the video.
Jaffe did leave hints about Twisted Metal coming to PS3 in the latest PS2 Twisted Metal game, so it won't surprise me if his next title is Twisted Metal for PS3.
I want the next Twisted Metal game to be EXACTLY like Twisted Metal Black because I really loved the Gritty, Twisted, and Psychopathic feel to it, and I want that same atmosphere.
Sony had never confirmed a Late 2009 release, that was just a rumored date, but March 2010 to me seems like the most logical date because every God of War game has come out in March.
Cecil said that they are going to announce the Official release date soon in the Comments section, and hopefully that will be at GDC.
There was already a lot of games that could possibly come out Fall/Late 2009 for the PS3 like Uncharted 2, new Rachet and Clank, GT5, Heavy Rain, and M.A....
I'm pretty sure that there will be some people on Ebay selling just the Tin Case by itself from Australia, and if so, I'm definantly going to buy it separately, because I WANT THAT TIN CASE.
A game of Killzone 2's calibur should have gotten the Collectors Edition treatment worldwide though.
Edit: LOL @ the random Disagree's people are getting for no reason. It's O.k., there's no need to be jealous of Killzone 2, just get a PS3 and stop hating.
"This is so not a good time to be dealing with this $#!t with sony. Now they want $150 to fix my YLOD 60gb launch system. "
Why are you bringing your own problems into the comment section? If your PS3 crapped out on you, then do something about it. I've had my same 60GB PS3 since launch with no problems at all and you are definantly one of the few unluckly ones. Every PS3 isn't going to be perfect, but it's far more reliable than the Xbox 360.
If GamePro's KZ2 review falls right in line with PTOM, then obviously it's a 5/5. Can't wait to see the other reviews.
@Jager,
Don't mind the disagreers, it's just 360 fans jealous that KZ2 actually is living up to the hype.
Anyways, I went to Amazon.com a couple of days ago, and KZ2 was at Number 2 in Pre-orders, so it's good to see that KZ2 is still maintaining that Number 2 spot.
And Killzone 2 has been the number 1 pre-ordered item at Gamestop for some time now (around 2 weeks or more) because I've been checking the Gamestop site from time to time. I pre-ordered KZ2 ...
