GT5 will be the first racing sim for me.
Kain you are the Master of Gifs. :D
Not as foolish as you look, spouting hatred for a game that's not even released yet.
If you're "not buying this game anyways," as you so eloquently stated, why do you care in the first place?
I don't agree with the author. I find female characters who defeat their opponents the same ways that men do to be far better examples of strong female characters, since they succeed in doing things the way warriors do, male or female. Isn't that the crux of feminism itself, "equality" with men?
Agrias from "Final Fantasy Tactics," Fang from "Final Fantasy XIII," Yuna from "Final Fantasy X" are strong female characters, capable ...
The commercial was great. It's message was made quite clear through the use of the song, "Young at Heart."
It's not as if the commercial is difficult to understand. Unless, of course, you didn't bother to listen to its soundtrack.
Keep telling yourself that, if it helps you sleep at night.
I love how MS kids constantly feel the need to emphasize the 360's regional dominance in North America, whilst failing to take into account other parts of the world.
Pushing gaming to another level? LOL!
Why the constant hyperbole when it comes to Kinect?
Because adult protagonists in JRPGs aren't as commercially successful as the teenagers and twenty-somethings. Case in point: 'Vagrant Story.'
Had 'Vagrant Story' been a commercial success, Square wouldn't have changed 'Final Fantasy XII,' shifting protagonists from Basch to Vaan.
JRPGs are most often coming-of-age stories, so a younger protagonist seems more suitable to most. In other genres, like FPS games, for example, older...
Exactly. It's a peripheral that adds a different gaming experience.
Unfortunately, with the economy being like it is, developers and publishers often go for the known success rather than risk money on titles that push things creatively.
I'd really enjoy an "exploration" title. When "Zelda: A Link to The Past" came out on the SNES, it was great to jump into the game and have no set path to follow. I spent hours just exploring the gameworld, searching out bomb locations, and so on.
I share your collecting bug. There's something great about having a collection that spans decades (and consoles).
Though I bought "Vagrant Story" back when it first released on PS1 and still haven't played it. I think that was in '99.
Great to see Kinect doing well. Hopefully, this will enable MS to broaden the appeal of the XBox brand. Gratz to MS.
I have only traded a handful of games in my gaming history. I'm a collector at heart, I guess.
I don't understand how VGC can claim to track sold to consumers. What, do they have a scout in every single store that sells consoles and games from open to close?
I prefer official numbers from the companys' financial statements, since they can't lie to their investors, given that they're publicly traded.
If VGC's estimates are accurate, that's a great start for Kinect.
I hope not as well. I like casual gaming online, but I prefer a console for most of my gaming.
So I guess I'm in the other 1%? ;D
@Mr. Bun: Exactly. The 'casual gaming' audience spends a lot of money to enjoy their hobby. That's why Sony and MS are chasing after Wii's success. While that may upset some "hardcore" gamers, the companies aren't going to turn down viable revenue streams in order to appease one section of the gaming public.
We invest in the proper tools for the job actually.
@CREESH: Sorry, but I'm not going to settle for a hamburger when I can have Prime Rib. Quality wins every time.
Releasing a reliable console at launch and investing in a variety of studios to create a diverse library of first-party titles would have given me a reason to purchase a 360. As it stands now, there are only a handful of games I'd like to play that are 360 exclusives, and I won't buy a console for a small number of titles. Add to that the emphasis on Kinect - a control scheme I can't use because of my physical disabilities - and I have no reason to purchase a 360. It would be a wa...
