And if it reaches 5 million, it will still be a smashing success - no matter how much the MS fanboys wish otherwise.
N4G - the fanboys' sandbox. Either they're trolling and trash-talking games they don't have on their consoles, or they're applying the double standard: the "Sales matter" argument.
Too bad some refuse to acknowledge the successes of competitors' consoles. This site would be better if the console "warriors" realized they don't win (or lose) anything in the console "war."
What's hilarious is the hypocrisy from both sets of fanboy, the PS3 fanboys, who argue that sales aren't important, but now trumpet these figure from (admittedly questionable) VGC, - and the Xbox fanboys, who, while arguing the importance of sales for multiplats and 360 exclusives, now spend more time accusing the PS3 fanboys of hypocrisy, rather than acknowledging that, by their own 'Sales is Important' logic, GT 5 is a smashing success.
Neither side can h...
Lots of 'hardcore' "Kinect" titles. ;-D
I've really enjoyed it so far. It's my first "GT" title, and I haven't found it as imposing as I thought I might. The gameplay is fantastic. I've noticed some graphical hiccups, but the fun factor far outweighs those minor issues.
The Kart racing is laugh-out-loud fun.
@Dead: Yes. The only racing games I've played before this were the original "Pole Position," and some of the "Marko Kart" titles.
...
The game installation took about 30 minutes on my 320 Gig.
I'd give it an 8.5 as well. It's a solid title, despite certain graphics hiccups. The massive feature list and all the content included makes the game a must-buy for racing fans.
The trolltide goes back and forth. "Gears of War 3" will be trolled in 'retaliation' for the trolling of "GT5." And it will be funny to watch the XBox fanboys go on the defensive, conveniently forgetting this debacle.
The XBox fanboys will then troll the hell out of the next big PS3 exclusive, in 'retaliation' for the "Gears 3" trolling.
So all this talk about karma is ridiculous. Both sides are just as laugha...
I just started playing GT5 yesterday, and graphics hiccups aside, the driving is fantastic. This is my first racing title since the original 'Pole Position' (not counting a few laps in 'Mario Kart') and I'm having a blast.
Scores between 8 and 9 are what this game merits, since no title is perfect. But it's amazingly fun, the sense of actually having to drive a car instead of just whizzing around a track.
For that alone, PD deserves my...
Mario Kart. ;-D
Did I hurt your feelings because I pointed out legitimate restrictions of Kinect and warned you all about hyping it as gaming's 'Revolutionary Second Coming?'
If so, perhaps you should take up another hobby. Like knitting, for instance. Something to relax you and thicken that over-sensitive skin.
That's not trolling. In fact, I have given props to MS and to its flagship titles where warranted. The rational, neutral approach may confuse yo...
It's funny, I remember when Kinect launched, people were bitching about PS3 fanboys trolling 360 articles, yet here we are - a big PS3 release and 360 fantrolls out in force to defend their beloved Forza.
If 'GT 5' sells more than 'Forza Motorsport 3' does that make it a better game, given the 360 fanboys' love of the sales=quality argument?
Newsflash: Different exclusive games in the same genre can co-exist. Fans of that genre can, i...
Both games are great. Each has its strengths and weaknesses. There's no reason for this 'either-or' mentality that prevails in gaming today.
So a game that caters to a specific, 'hardcore,' fanbase is a disappointment?
Interesting. I'll keep that in mind, the next time people bitch about how gaming is getting too casual.
As a longtime Atlus fan, I can't wait to play 'Catherine.' The storytelling in the 'SMT' games, whether main series or the spinoffs, is always top-notch. The settings and characterizations are always entertaining, too.
Here's to hoping the game is a success. The industry certainly needs the creativity that titles like 'Catherine' provide.
I get a strong Jungian vibe from the story elements I've heard about so far. That has ...
When gaming became a 'war' for some people. A 'war' they feel compelled to fight, so they're side 'wins.'
And they can feel better about themselves, apparently.
It's a shame, how trolls come out of the woodwork whenever a big title releases on the 360 or PS3. Makes it impossible to actually discuss the games.
Surely, the kids could find more productive hobbies - like playing games, for instance.
"Gears 3" will bring another trollstorm, undoubtedly.
Humans aren't perfect. Thus, they cannot deliver perfection.
No game is perfect. Games always have flaws.
True gamers recognize the flaws as well as the strengths.
To fanboys, apparently. Rational gamers understand that 86 is a solid score.
I have no idea why you got disagrees for such a sensible statement. +bubbles to you.
