Wondering where the time went

I haven't picked up Move yet. I'm waiting until the software justifies the purchase for me, especially with the Christmas Season coming up and money being tight.

I'm really looking forward to using it with LBP2 and Sorcery.

The gap between PS3 and 360 in Japan is extremely relevant, as it contributes to global sales numbers. Only a fanboy would look at market segments, and not at the market as a whole.

The release of GT5 is hardly a "last ditch effort." It is one of the most successful franchises in gaming history.

The release of a peripheral on another system has no effect on GT 5. It's not as if PS3 owners who are fans of GT are going to opt for Kinect over GT5.

The truth hurts, as you so eloquently put it. Kinect won't stop GT5's success.

There's a difference in being an ardent fan of something, and being obnoxious about your preferences, however. A fan is someone who enjoys something and is willing to spend their time and money supporting their hobby or interest.

Fanboys act as if their opinions are facts and their personal preferences set the standards of enjoyment and quality for everyone.

Fans are vital for the industry. Fanboys are, thankfully, a small segment of the gaming public.

Fanboys are the worst, regardless of the consoles they support. The 360 fanboys who troll PS3 articles are just as lame as the PS3 fanboys who troll 360 articles.

I've had disagrees from people for stating an obvious limitation of Kinect, and I've had disagrees for giving props to Microsoft on its successes in this generation.

So I don't agree with you that PS3 fanboys are the worst. All fanboys suck.

EDIT: And here we go with th...

I didn't play the Sly series the first time around, so this HD re-release is perfect for me. Can't wait to play it.

Should I buy a wheel, or stick with the controller until I get the hang of it?

'Marvel Pinball' is a must-buy for me. Zen Studios has made some great, quality tables for Zen Pinball, and these look to be just as much fun.

Wolvie, ftw!

It's interesting they haven't made any official sales statement before now. MS tends to give some indication of numbers they've sold through PR statements at the very least.

Waiting until after Black Friday will, however, allow them to release a higher total, which would give them a greater "Wow" factor.

I see defensive XBox fanboys - those who are offended and butthurt by comments calling VGC's numbers into question - resorting to calling everyone who's not pro-Kinect "PS3 fanboys."

I also see well-reasoned comments on both sides of the Kinect debate as well.

If it's official numbers, e.g. from quarterly financial statements, then yes, obviously.

All statements from PR staff, no matter which company they work for, should be taken with a box of salt.

We'd best wait for concrete sales figures before describing Kinect as revolutionary. If it becomes popular with the general public, as the Wii did, we can call it a revolution. If not, it will simply be a fad.

Time will tell.

Perhaps you weren't around when Paramount and Dreamworks dropped support for Blu-Ray in 2007?

MS and Toshiba provided both promotional and financial incentives for the move.

The same BS pointless superlatives apply to 360 exclusives, too. Didn't you know?

Both sides do it. Both are ridiculous.

By that logic, all shooters are "just guys walking around shooting enemies." All RPGs are "just people walking around collecting crap and reaching objectives."

Reduce any game down to its bare bolts, and you'll be left with a simplistic, boring game.

What makes a game special is the execution of those underlying principles. PD are masters of quality execution when it comes to "just cars on a track."

I can taste your fear through the monitor of my laptop. Go back to playing with Skittles.

Sony doesn't have a $500 million marketing budget for GT5, so ask yourself which company is buying good press.

You're calling people 'tools?' Hilarious. By your own admission, you don't even own a PS3, yet here you are, in a GT article, bitching and moaning about a game you don't even own the console to play?

That makes perfect sense...for a troll.

I have never played a GT game before, yet I'll be buying GT 5. It looks great, but beyond that, it offers a driving simulation that goes beyond typical arcade racers. That has me interested. I don...

Funny how you mention Kinect in an article about GT 5. Why not go off and play the thing, since you felt so compelled to bring it up.
