I'm not sure how the 3DS will pan out, especially given how Nintendo has warned parents not to allow young children to play in 3D:

Granted, with its steep price tag, it's obvious that the 3DS isn't focused on the childrens' market, but that could be a potential issue.
You understand that a console's place in terms of a sales chart has absolutely no impact on someone's enjoyment of that system though, right?
What's the obsession some fans have with seeing the PS3 as a "lame duck?" It's doing fine, and it's come a long way from the troubled launch.
It's funny how you assume people will want the features connected to the Jailbreak. I won't support illegal activity, so Jailbreak means nothing to me.
Because its sales contribute to worldwide totals. By your logic, neither European nor North American sales tallies should be published either, since neither of those regions equals the world.
So as long as sales figures from Europe and North America are posted, Japan's sales data are just as appropriate.
Thanks for the chuckles, friend.
Like it or not, the younger, prettier, male protagonists are more popular in 'FF' games. That's why 'FF XII' was redone to make Vaan the main character, instead of the older, more masculine Basch (as was originally intended).
Frankly, I have no problem with 'Final Fantasy' male characters. They offer the perfect change-of-pace from the steroid-infused Space Marine muscleman types. To each their ...
I missed out on 'Threads of Fate' when it first released, so I'll pick it up. I'll end up getting the other RPG's too, though I have the original disks.
So much nostalgia for "Secret Wars." I still have the original comics, and I'd definitely purchase a game based on it.
Unfortunately, Kinect may work well for some disabled people, but while I can use a controller to game, I can't use Kinect.
Yet when PS3 first released, the constant refrain from the anti-PS3 camp was that it "had no games," even though it had solid multiplatform support.
Now that the tables have turned, and it's the 360 that suffers from a drought of exclusive titles, it's not surprising that the same logic is used by the pro-PS3 camp, considering how that same argument had been used against them for some time.
This is why the strident fans of only one syste...
The PC could have the opportunity to shine this year, given the 360's Kinect-focus for 2011.
PS3 fanboys cheering the PS3's exclusives is no more tiresome than the 360 fanboys' constant refrain of 'You just wait until E3!' as if MS is going to reveal a dozen or more AAA core-focused games. Whilst the Nintendo fanboys quietly enjoy their strong exclusive lineup.
Neither side is going to stop.
If it releases in North America, it's Day One for me. :-D
There are crowds of 360 fans in PS3 articles. Just look at the 'GT5' debacle. It goes both ways, though it's funny how much whining about 'the other side' happens in 360 articles. As if 360 fans never trolled Sony or PS3 articles.
Hilarious, really.
I'm so thankful I live in a secular society, where religion is a private matter that is separate from public policy.
It's great that optional encounters exist for those who want to pursue them. I think the 'Fable' series has similar choices, at least as far as I understand.
I wouldn't seek out a lesbian storyline, since I'm not sexually attracted to women, but if a game includes that option, I support it. There are homosexual gamers, so why not provide them with a storyline that reflects their life experience?
Agreed. True gamers enjoy games, and discussing the hobby without feeling the need to defend or attack consoles in their discussions, regardless of what consoles they own.
I've been gaming for 25+ years, and I've owned a variety of consoles, so I'm a 'true gamer.' Just because I don't own an MS console doesn't make me less of a gamer.
There's something to be said for spending your money wisely. Buying consoles just to have...
For me, it's all about getting the most value for my money. That's why I don't own a 360. Its exclusives don't justify its purchase for me. I prefer single-player games and have no interest in online multiplayer. And I use my PC as my main digital media source.
I always research consoles and games before I buy them. I suppose I'm a collector as well as a gamer. I'd rather have the original console to play the title on, instead of using a newer system...
I don't understand why people sell their consoles. Once you buy it, it's yours. Even if the present selection of games might not be the best for you, as long as you have the console you can play future releases.
I'd rather save the money to buy an additional console instead and increase the number of games I could play.
If it is, I'll be quite content staying in the past of gaming.
What is it with people slagging on popular exclusives? I only see this type of post with 360 and PS3 titles. Wii exclusives seem to get more of a pass from 'media' - though "Metroid: Other M" got some flak.
It's strange.
