I never gave much thought to controllers when I first started gaming, but I've realized just how important it is for a controller to be comfortable.
The XB1 controller looks great. I like the rumble trigger idea.
I can't imagine using those asymmetrical sticks.
I think at this point, MS has to emphasize Kinect in order to differentiate it from PS4. They've already reversed most of what made the XB1 different.
If XB1 sells well, then I can see Sony adding additional focus to PS Eye, since it will be clear that gamers want, and are willing to pay for, camera-driving gaming experiences. Indies are a perfect fit for Vita. I can't wait to see how indies play out on PS4. I'm really digging Sony's focus on independent teams. These games are a great balance to the AAA blockbuster.
I've been wanting to play this for a while. Definitely picking it up.
With me, it's a physical accessibility thing. I can't use my lower body well, so I get no use from a full-body motion controller, nor do I have any interest in contributing to the rise of full-body motion control gaming since I can't use it.
It's not a win for me. It's actually my main reason for not buying XB1.
I'm so glad Sony decided to keep the camera optional and not include it with the PS4 at launch. If they had, I wouldn't have decided to buy PS4. I don't pay for console accessories I can't use.
It was nice to see some strong moves from MS. Even though I have no plans to pick up an XB1, I find the competition between the two companies, and their fan-camps, fun to watch.
@Ripstah7th - I suppose so. I'm a single-player gamer, so I avoid all the online multiplayer drama, lol.
@Starchild - I understand what it's like to be a fan of unpopular consoles, believe me. I saw what this site, and many others were like when PS3 launched. For years, it was the target of mud-slinging online, and deservedly so. Sony made many mistakes with the launch of PS3.

I have both, and I think you're spot-on. They each have their strengths and weaknesses, and they're both solid consoles. I tend to switch off the 3-D effect on the 3DS though.
@Snookies - I see. I thought you were just referring to this specific statement. I agree with you on the other point. Sony has clear advantages this time. They should keep the conversation about their products and what value they offer consumers, rather than relying on the 'we're not them' stance.
I'm not a Sony fanboy. I'm not male, actually. Since you haven't read my comment history, you're hardly in a position to tar me with the same brush as you would the Sony fans you detest so much.
The fact that you would make that kind of assumption about me proves that you're no different from those you claim to despise.
I don't think pointing out a fact is the same as running MS down, though. There's no reason why Sony shouldn't tell consumers that the cost of the PS4 plus the game is cheaper than their competition. It's a strong selling point.

I'm curious to see if MS can pull of an earlier launch. I'm not sure how much of an impact it will have, though, since it will most likely only be a matter of a few weeks, not the year+ advantage the 360 had this gen.
Maybe they could release a single-player campaign as DLC? I know the game is multiplayer, but it would be cool to have an optional SP element for those who want it.
I've been waiting for Spelunky. I'll definitely be picking it up for Vita.
I'm sure I'd adjust over time. I did with the Gamecube controller. The XBox controllers always seem so large to me, and I've got small hands, lol.
MS has done a great job tweaking it, I have to say. Kudos to them.
