As a gamer who considers himself "Core" and in my 20's I've enjoyed Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo, Banjo Kazooie, Viva Pinata ect... They are some of the best games I've played. What I like best about Rare is the way they use a full palette of colors. You don't see games with the bright and vibrant colors the way they use them.
These numbers are fishy at best. What do they consider selling a "unit of Move"? Is it one controller? Most people that would have bought one would have bought the accessory that goes with it. Do they consider a PS Eye a Unit of Move? Just curious as to what exactly the install is. I doubt 1 million unique people bought Move in the USA. Probably half that or less then half.
What do they consider selling a "Move"? Every PS Eye? Every Nunchuk? Every Wand? What exactly is the install base? I mean if you got everything you needed to you would have to get 2 Wands, Nunchuk, eye ect... Not sure how they count those. Something a little off about these numbers. What's units shipped anyway? Something fishy.
I'm sure I'll get disagrees but something isn't right with the math.
If you want to see fanboyism at it's worst, look at any Kinect article. It's really a bit sad to see. I've personally never seen anything like it. You'd seriously think most of the people worked for Sony and were paid to attack Kinect articles.
As for Kinect working, they have demo's all over, I went to the one in Orlando a few week's ago as I said earlier. It worked fine, no lag, no issues. It was quite fun and I remember being in line with people who were aga...
I have yet to see a day when Kinect wasn't bashed, especially here. None of that has hurt the pre orders or anything. All I heard was Lag this, space that, wont recognize this, bad games that. I also remember hearing that if it released at $150 it would flop and not sell at all, well I tend to think it'll sell well. I'm a gamer, consider myself core. Male, in my 20's and I pre ordered Kinect right after E3. I saw the possibilities. I know a lot of people like me. So let's ...
Didn't mean people didn't buy it, people saw the possibilities. Kinect has a lot of possibilities. It might not be for you, just like I don't really enjoy PS3, but I don't bash it all day every day. None of us works for these companies, so why argue about it? If it's your thing, then get it, if not, don't. Just don't judge people on their likes and dislikes. Were all entitled to our own opinions.
Can't wait to see some of the people on these boards eat a little after Kinect launches and launches quite successfully. I guess I'll never understand why people care so much about seeing something fail. I mean I prefer the 360, but I don't say "Death to PS3" "Death to Move" that's foolish and would really only make myself look bad. Were all gamers here, let people like what they want. From everything I've seen Kinect looks solid, I got to try it out in...
So I say let people continue to buy the console. It has a ton of games, everyone has one, There are literally thousands of games to choose. It's the economy console in all honesty. Parents still buy them for their smaller kids ect... I'm glad that Sony proved a console cycle can last longer then a few years.
Just curious as to why were getting all these obvious stories. It's like if there were a line in the Kinect manual telling you to remember to blink your eyes, people would jump on it and say "See, see, Kinect sucks!" I mean ya, take a break. No matter if it's Motion controlled or not. It's not a good idea to game nonstop.
They clearly have a great relationship. Cliffy B is a huge 360 guy, MS already owns the Gears IP, why not get a few more exclusive games like Bulletstorm sequels and Unreal sequels? Nice read, I heard about it via Cliffy B's twitter though, he's a huge Molyneux fan.
Everyone has an agenda. Typically the Fallout games are solid and that seems to have not changed. Play the types of games you like, avoid the ones you don't. I hardly ever go based on score, usually it's a few things that bring me towards a game, online, number of people active on the game online and campaigns. So to each their own.
They are trying to cater to both, which is a mistake. They should have said they are going after "Gamers" in general. I wouldn't consider MAG a hardcore game, it's more of an arcade type of game. Everything I've seen with it on that particular game is comical at best, especially online. I know personally some gimmick motion controller will never beat a skilled person using a standard controller.
Nothing to write home about.
Honestly I thought Sony should have said it clearly that they were going after casual gamers, all this mixed in Hard core stuff is just scaring away the casual gamers that would enjoy it. The actual Hard core gamers aren't going to want to use Move on an online game and risk it. I know I wouldn't. Just put out some interesting games and it'll be fine, but it'll never be a Wii. Nintendo has too many great 1st party titles.
My K/D/R is over 1.5 points higher on PS3 versions of COD games...lol PS3 competition is terrible. Probably the fact that nobody on PS3 has a headset and those that do, don't use them....
Had she plugged Move or something everyone here at N4G would be saying how she wasn't paid to plug it and how it was awesome ect...
All you have to do is look back at the history of it. It's been around since the 1950's and always comes and goes. Usually comes back in a slightly better format. To me though, it's not viable because kids under 8 aren't supposed to view it and I'm going to have a hard time getting the wife (who already wears glasses) to wear more glasses to enjoy television or movies. Same with older people, I doubt they'll want to wear glasses when they get home from work or whatever...
The first one was amazing, I really enjoyed it. So refreshing in a lot of ways. I know a sequel would be even better, now that they have a clear direction and know what they want to do with it. Kind of how Uncharted 1 was pretty good, but hit it's stride with Uncharted 2. I can see Alan Wake 2 hitting the mark like that. Good news.
Kinect is $149 and with a game. It's only $99 if you buy a new 360 and still comes with a game.
As for the Obama thing, she backed him from the start, most people bought into "Change" without listening to the type of change we would end up with. Marxism is the change he offered. Hopefully, we the people can rectify the situation soon. Thankfully, November elections are upon us almost and we cam get Spendacrates out of power.
Back on topic. Kinect is goin...
When you consider it spans 3 platforms. I personally have hated this game since I tried the beta. The way your character locks up when being shot, the lack of a prone feature, the maps that are too large ect...
If people keep putting out games to compete with Call Of Duty, then they need to do a better job of copying the game. Prone, smaller maps, better guns and killstreaks.
When Microsoft claims to possibly have a shortage of something everyone here jumps on it and says it's a lie, yet when Sony says they have or had a shortage everyone thinks it's because their products are sooooooo in demand? It's ridicules. Cant wait to get "clear" results of Units sold for Kinect, it's going to be big. If they sell 2 million on launch day, we'll know 2 million unique people bought one.
Unlike the Move, which they are counting the PS Eye,...
