Because they're fucking great. At their best, they're the most imaginative, progressive games you can buy.
Well, looks like Alyx survives.
Amazing artwork though.
Hopefully we get a soap brawler.
That'll be Jak
That's all it was! A Tech demo! Which was explicitly stated. Plus what followed was the compilation of Final Fantasy VII.
Advent Children, Last Order, Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core, Before Crisis. We got ALL that after the tech demo. If we're going to get anything else it'll be a VII-2.
Also would you really want a full game version of that tech demo? That's not Final Fantasy VII. If the game was made in that style I definitely wouldn't l...
BIG sell from Treyarch.
All good points. Except VII being overrated. I think you're making that judgment retroactively. I suspect your judging from the standpoint of todays standards, which isn't fair.
Even still, in my opinion, VII is better than most modern games, so what does that say? Well, it says that this whole thing is opinion based. So making such an objective sounding claim as "VII is overrated" is pretty ludicrous without any argument to back it up, and like I said I sus...
Now he's talking sense. People need to stop this clamour for a VII remake. It'd be a travesty.
Because of the demand these days for amazing graphics and realism, the end product would just suck; would be nothing like the original and would definitely lack it's spirit and aesthetic. SE would be forced into making an updated version of the game like this, and it would be a different game as a result.
Leave the damn game alone. It's perfect the...
Spyro is dead and Activision have killed him.
Fucking kids! Stop buying this shit!
I understand this but you can't just make the graphics better and better to the exclusion of everything else. You can expect diminishing returns if you do this.
The writing in most games is absolutely abysmal, but it's papered over by pretty visuals and fun gameplay. These aren't bad things, but if games are to be taken as seriously as books and films, they need that other element to be beefed up too, which is writing and storytelling. Both have been neglected he...
Was about to say pretty much the same thing.
Give us some imaginative and intelligent storytelling. Games have so much potential for this. We know by now developers are capable of making pretty and fun games, it's high time a bit more effort went into story and overall cleverness.
This franchise kind of petered out a little bit I think. I want more R&C and for Insomniac to reclaim Spyro.
That said I never played 3, and probably should...
Makes perfect sense even if you don't really think about it.
I really don't think we need tech to be any better than this. How about some intelligent games now?
Kickstarter has become a little too popular recently. Thankfully half the shit doesn't get funded. Else we'd have a whole lotta junk on our hands (literally in the case of stuff like this)
The thing is, games are still fairly young, and so they've yet to be taken seriously. Most games are totally immature and not subtle in any way, whereas films have gone on to show that they can approach their various subject matters in intelligent, mature and deep ways.
While games are still young, they're not going to be taken seriously, and in most cases, rightly so. Give it a decade or so and games may become a more respected medium. I think developers are still...
"Personally, I’d try to continue the paradox endings like Serah and Snow setting out to find the 13 crystals in “The Couple’s Departure” or “Control The Pudding With Pudding” where Serah and Noel take the form of monsters."
It's ideas like this which necessitate giving Toriyama less creative control.
Argh, I wish they wouldn't do stuff like this, I just want to stick to ONE 3DS and ONE DS. They constantly outmode their own handhelds, and as a consumer I find that frustrating because it means that my model is an inferior one, or one that's not going to receive as much support down the line.
Like the DSi, god, so annoying. Basically a premium DS. Just stick to one version of the handheld!!
The licence plate on the taxi or the number on it's door could be something?
The cctv camera is probably part of the gameplay
The campaign posters are probably tied into the story in some way...?
TV / Broadcast HQ in the background? Possibly tied to gameplay?
Says "Windy City" on the Theatre Square flag, game's based in Chicago? Or did we already know that?
I don't know, I don't thin...
Caius is a great villain.
