God I hope not, they'd just eclipse the videogames industry and all games would become shit thereafter until the end of time.
Elder Scrolls games aren't really that good at presenting big, epic revelations though. The character animations and general weirdness really hurts the impact.
It's for this reason among others (see my other comment below) that revealing the mystery behind the Dwemer would definitely be a disappointment.
While I'd love to know where the Dwemer went and what happened to them, it could only be a disappointment.
It's pretty heavily implied that they transcended to some higher place, and how the hell do you portray that without it being a disappointment? You can't really depict something that's beyond mortal comprehension haha.
I think it'd be better if, rather than solving the mystery, Bethesda just continuously build around the mystery, allu...
There's gonna be a lot of shit games made by idiots then. Good ones'll be like needles in haystacks.
That guy actually has the economics of the whole current-gen situation down.
He's actually made me reconsider the need for "next-gen". Previously I would have said that I wasn't ready to move on from this gen, but the whole "moving away from proprietary tech" thing, and the resulting "more chances to everybody" makes me think next gen needs to happen now.
I want another generation as good as the PS2. Great games galore.
Kind of wish it was a bit more cartoony. Unreal doesn't really capture the original spirit.
Looks good anyway though.
Crash will never be the same because ND stopped developing it, just as Spyro will never be the same because Insomniac stopped developing it.
Nothing to do with exclusivity.
Aaaah I actually completely understand it all now. Cheers.
I want XIII-3 like you, but the biggest cliffhanger in any FF game??
That definitely goes to Dirge of Cerberus.
lol, so we the consumers are the "fat kids", and SE is trying to feed us healthy food (veggies). It's not a great analogy if you're trying to argue against them.
Yeul isn't supposed to be Noel's love interest is she? She's like 12 or something. I thought she was meant to be more of a little sister.
Also how can Caius have past selves stretching back so far? He's obviously immortal in Valhalla, but if those past selves aren't the same Caius' as the one in Valhalla, how the hell has he lived so long? Or has Caius' acquisition of chaos "changed the past", and made him immortal all through the timelin...
Well what do we think it is? It's definitely not a remake. And if I wanted a crisper version of the game I'd just emulate it. I really don't think this is much to get excited about.
@MikeCosgrove
Naysaying and completely exaggerating your hatred for bandwagon points and to be noticed.
XIII isn't nearly as bad as people say. In fact it's not even bad. Not the best FF game sure, but a good game. XIII-2 then is a genuinely good game. XIII-3, like someone mentioned above me, has the potential to wrap up the series on a high note if it continues on this upward trajectory.
I can't deny that this game looks good. But it's still totally stupid. Outside of the cutscenes the game becomes about killing people in the 'coolest' possible ways you can. Yeah, real mature.
I really hope the game turns out to have a more neutral stance. It'd be really annoying if Ubisoft were lying about that.
People shouldn't be getting all nationalistic about this, they should be complaining that BOTH sides aren't getting portrayed negatively.
@joysticks
No to all of that. Would ruin it, it's perfect the way it is. Stop trying to force today's standards on it.
There's something about modding that just spoils a game for me. It breaks the illusion that the game is self-contained and untouchable. I don't want modders spoiling VII like that.
You stream games with this, you still need good hardware if you want the best quality and performance out of a game, which this defintely won't deliver. We'll still ultimately need what will probably be a Ps4 to get the most out of our games.
Even when or if cloud gaming becomes as good as the real thing as internet connections become ridiculously fast, I'm sure playstation will still be retained as a trademark, only utilized virtually, not for a piece of hardwar...
Should have been GOTY last year. I liked Skyrim, but I genuinely much preferred this. Definitely get it if you can. Ensure another one gets made!
Games just need to have more overall reverence. Some people think maturity = no fun, but if games could just stop treating themes in really immature and paradoxical ways, they could be reverent and still retain their fun factor.
I'll be lynched for this, but I think she's seriously overrated. She's good and obviously talented, but when I hear people raving about her, I wonder, have you even heard Masashi Hamauzu? Or Junya Nakano? Or Hitoshi Sakimoto? Or Naoshi Mizuta?
Not that I don't like her stuff, but I'm just saying.
