I dunno, I'll get it but it looks a little bit sketchy in places. I hope they tidy it up a bit. Animation for the crossbow looks dumb, and the new locations don't seem that amazing. Cool, but not amazing.

I used to like Heavy Rain, but I think I'm probably more unhappy about it now than David Cage is, same goes for all Quantic Dream's games. Such garbage.

Depends really. A game's presentation of things like this, even if really peripheral, can influence people's everyday assumptions about things like this. In fact, the more peripherally themes like this are treated, the more they tend to be understood as being common, ingrained truths.

Not "exciting", just a next gen cod game. Everyone's gonna be amazed anyway because it'll be one of the first next gen games but I'm gonna hedge my bets, there'll definitely be much greater games that come out after it that'll get my money, which I shall be saving.
I agree about the VII Sequel, even though it could be a disaster. Although a remake would be more of a disaster imo. People want more VII, and I think a sequel is probably the best route for them to take

Other reason to be excited = The Lea Monde region is mentioned, the chief location of one of the best games ever made - Vagrant Story, which has long been hinted at being within the Ivalice universe. Also, there's mention of a religious fanatic, so I'm expecting some serious Vagrant Story fanservice, and maybe even a connection established between XII and Vagrant Story.
