Well i guess i could have seen the type of comments on this article coming a mile away.... i guess by now at least 70-80% of N4G are Sony fanboys who would never accept anyone to say anything negative about Sony, because they are perfect and everything they do is the most amazing thing out there.....

i really hope they decided to make this a Wii U game, not much sense to release this game on the Wii after the U is out, well except for those crazy japanese people who buy anything related to DQ... Anyway, it would be a really good launch title
well if thats your problem then i dont see what you are going to be playing for the next couple of months. Practically every big AAA title for consoles coming out is a sequel, and even on the Vita, most high profile games are sequels too, or already part of a franchise (uncharted, resistance, LBP, Modnation Racers, etc)
As for the 3DS remakes, what other remakes besides Star Fox and Zelda are you talking about?
Mmm no, no mod will ever be the same on 2 games, though you can probably find some mods for just cause 2 as well, i wouldnt expect to find anything too advanced anyway
well, i can guarantee the icenhancer mod (plus some texture packs) does look this amazing in motion
i think its pretty much guaranteed it will look worse than this... this mod is WAY WAY above what current consoles can do, and its pretty much guaranteed GTA V will be a current gen console
Probably the disagrees are from PS3 fanboys who think Uncharted looks better and 360 fanboys who thinks Gears looks better...
Overall i think right now the only think that can possibly compete with this graphics is Crysis 2 PC with DX 11 and Ultra Textures pack, that shit looks insane, and the amount of lightning/reflection/shadows effects are amazing
its perfectly possible to run in real time, my PC could run IceEnhancer above 30FPS always, the only problem is that the mod is not really designed to work with the newest NVIDIA cards so they tend to overheat a lot, so i decided to uninstall it.

You might want to check your facts 1st, PS3 got its 1st price drop (of $100) on July 07, 6-7months after release depending on where you are. And its not like i have anything against the PS3, i have probably bought more PS3 games than my other consoles, it just doesnt make sense to me how quickly people tend to forget things (or how amazingly selective people's memory can be)
Well its a lot easier said than done, not 1 console this generation has had anything remotely similar to a constant stream of AAA titles coming out throughout the whole year, even less on its entire lifespan, thats actually the reason i own all 3 consoles + PC... to balance the droughts of each console with another one
Funny how most people on this website tend to forget how quickly the PS3 had a price drop, how just how poorly it was doing in its 1st years, or the incredible lack of games when it 1st came out, i actually only remember Uncharted and Resistance as truly worth having.

Not to say they are correct in dismissing the Vita, i think Sony has learned from the mistakes of the PSP and its going to be a great handheld, just like the 3DS will be as well, but tell me which games that they have announced so far for the Vita are actually original IPs from Sony?

well if they want to push into the digital market, 32 definetely wont be enough, take into account that whatever amount they announce you will have to substract quite a few gigs for OS and other stuff, just like any other system. Then add PSN titles and possible retail titles going digital, and 16 or 32GB would be nowhere near enough, hell 160GB on my PS3 is not enough.

dude, just because you look at things that way doesnt mean that the casual consumer is the same.
There is a reason why the Wii and DS sold so much, and its because they appealed to the casual consumer. If someone goes to a store and sees a gaming device for $300 and then they see a phone thats the same price and has "enough" gaming capability, they are gonna choose the phone almost every time.

lol if you think releasing the PSV around the same timeframe as the Ipad 3 wouldnt affect sales you, my friend, are clearly delusional. Nowhere is it mentioned that the effect would come because the Ipad is better for gaming, because its not, the simple fact is, the Ipad 3 will be way more popular than the PSV at launch, which would mean potencial casual buyers opting to buy 1st an Ipad and then buy a PSV later down the line.
