Also for people who dont know it yet. Nintendo is sending a confirmation when you get in the Ambassador program. Once you go inside the eshop, on the "News" icon you should have a notice called ambassador program
20 games are not worth $80??? maybe not everyone will enjoy every single game (though the games announced so far are really high quality games) but on just price tag alone of those games, its well above $80, not to mention that for the people who are getting these games, we already thought the $250 price was worth it, so its not like im mad at getting free games
I agree with you on sony's poor marketing in the past, and in my opinion if they want to increase their success with the casual crowd they sholud focus their advertising away from the games and more about the services like video / music player, internet, etc

I think the whole point of the 3DS price drop was the fact that people didnt think the $250 price was ok.
And when a direct competitor drops the price of the item you are going to be competing with b4 you can launch your product, the its definetely going to create preassure in the company
also, i can see most people here tend to think the casual market sees things the same way gamers do. Comparing an ipad/iphone/cellphone,etc to a handheld console is just absurd, the casual crowd will almost always think the handhelds are just for games while a cellphone tablet has a much wider functionality. I know thats not necesarily the case, but the thing is, the casual buyer is in most cases an ignorant buyer so the comparison isnt really relevant.

well i do agree in the fact that they certainly feel more preasure, and of course they should be, they will no longer be competing with a technologically inferior system at the same price point. Thats never a good thing.
As for the price tag of $250, of course fans will think its worth it, hell i know i didnt had a problem paying that for the 3DS, the problem is, from a mainstream and though economic climate point of view, its always gonna be easier to look at the cheaper opt...
the thing is, software alone never manages to make up for hit economic hit of losing $ on each console, just take a look at the financial reports on the games part of sony on the 1st couple of years after the PS3 launched, they were losing hundreds of millions of $

well i wouldnt call all these games AAA, resistance has a chance to be AAA but ill wait until its out before passing judgement, because R2 was hyped a lot and in the end most people prefered the 1st.
The rest are multi plat or remakes/collections so the title is a bit off, but still good games. Might pick up WK2 after price drops a bit and check what was fixed from the 1st game which i stopped playing

The only big exclusive coming on september is Resistance, and based on what happened with R2, i think its best to wait until the game comes out before we declare it a AAA. As for the rest of titles, 2 are remakes/collections and multiplat games, so September is not that big of a month, November...thats a whole different story
its much easier to just get a screen protector, most people should have one just for the sake of avoiding regular scratchs on any screen anyway
well the marks dont happen right away, dont happen on every console and its not always something you can see right away. I can say mine does have the issue but i had a screen protector from day one (basic for any handheld, cant see why ppl just dont buy one) and i barely see some marks every now and then on the plastic, but never a permanent mark.
so, umm is the author complaining about these games not having features that they never had?? aside from the sleep mode function, i dont see whats the big deal. And i dont really see myself getting another 3DS anytime soon to worry about having to transfer the games before the updated games come out.

well even though the game hasnt come out, anyone who has looked at any video or demo of it knows just how bad it looks so far. SO BAD in fact, that for it to end up a good game they would probably have to start all over again, which is a shame, cause the concept of a star wars motion game could have been really cool.

well antialiasing is one of the most heavy things for a console to do, even the ps3 and 360 have very limited antialiasing compared to what can be done by high end PCs. Also, with screenshots so big, of course it will look jaggy, but in the end, on a small screen it shouldnt be such a problem
well, this article was a waste of time. some dude bashing on a game he hasnt seen anything beyond some trailers, have never played it, and quite frankly making unrelated comparisons. Sure the word FPS and Batman shouldnt be together in a game, oh but look at that, the game is called Gotham City Impostors... where is the Batman in that title.
