and about mario kart, if you actually read the reviews you can see that the problem is mostly on single player 150cc, but the rest is ok, especially online, we finally get a game with great online options and all you people do is complain, i really doubt that nintendo is thinking on the casual crowd on the online part of mario kart
What i dont understand about most people, is how they complain that nintendo is only aiming at the casual crowd and yet if you look at the games released so far, in just 1 year and a half nintendo has given us almost all of its biggest frnachises(mario galaxy, zelda twilight princess, metroid prime 3, super smash bros brawl, mario kart) something we certainly didnt see on the gc or N64, and we'll probably see 1 or 2 more these year.
Sure is always easy to bash on Nintendo for keeping the same IPs during all those years, but thats exactly the point, nintendo has been in the videogame industry for more than 20 years, take any of nintendo's big franchises recently and you'll see that the most games about the same franchise you see EACH generation is 2(and on rare ocassions), and thats not including the mario sport franchises because just the fact that they include mario doesnt mean they are all the same. oh wait, it was only a 7.9.., nintendo games get good scores because they are good/great games, simple as that. Every game has flaws, but when those are overcomed by the good things, thats when you know its a good game
Yeah i agree with you, gamespot list was awful, this one shows great games for both hardcore and casual, im specially looking forward to final fantasy, Disaster, Red Steel 2 and (hopefully)the conduit
And yet people still say there are no more games coming out for wii this year..., and this is prior E3, so im sure we can add a couple new 1st party games by the end of the year.
There are good games coming out for all consoles, not just PS3, but i guess there are bigge...
oh and a true pokemon rpg would be nice on wii, not those crappy games that we got on gc, even better a MMORPG(hey, a man can dream...). And also Eternal Darkness is not a Nintendo IP, it was just exclusive to the gc, but it could be on any other console.

Why should we fear wii fit??? its not like we are not gonna get any more of the other IP's, nintendo has deliver more 1st party titles this year than any other i can remember, we got metroid prime 3, super paper mario, super mario galaxy, fire emblem, battallion wars 2, mario strikers charged; next year we are gonna get smash, mario kart, probably pikmin and animal crossing, mario baseball 2, and probably another mario sports game( high hopes on mario tennis, loved the gc game) And to the guy...
i wouldnt actually say that they rely on 1st party, i think there 1st party titles are of such great quality that they dont really need 3rd party titles THAT MUCH(because of course they need the support). But right now nintendo is urging developers to take some time with their games, because this stampede of quick cash-in ports is starting to affect the image of wii software, especially among the hardcore crowd
even tough we are getting way to many ports, and quick cash-in party games, there has certainly been new unique games, where the develepor really put an effort, and it can be seen on the reviews and sales(Trauma Center, Elebits, Dewis Adventure-it may suck, but at leat is something original-, RE Umbrella C, Zack and Wicky, Rayman RR) those are just a few of the 3rd party titles that are something new, and are worthy games. So its not fair to say all 3rd party titles on wii suck, not every dev...
I think the only 3 real contenders for game of the year are mass effect, bioshock and mario galaxy, the rest surely are amazing games, but those are truly standing up from the rest as truly original concepts or new ways to greatly improve old generes
the story in all fire emblem games is always great, and also great characters. I really think this game is amazing in every aspect, how else would it be able to score the way it has(maybe a little exagerated in 1UP, but an 8.0 on IGN) with the same graphics as the gcn game, and no wiimote use at all. Any other game with decent story and gameplay would get a 4.0 with these kind of flaws, but if it managed to get these scores, then it must be really good. Not to forget thats 50+ hours, and INCR...
yeah, its really awesome, but i dont really think they will actually pick THE BEST every day, because there's just gonna be so many stages every day, that it will be practically impossible. Or maybe just not one every day, remember what he says in the end, some things may change in the final product. But still, one of the best updates of the dojo so far. Great job sakurai
Well yes its really frustrating this problem, and i dont have any idea why nintendo still hasnt released one yet. But that Final Fantasy WiiWare game was some kind of confirmation for me about a future HDD, because there is NO WAY that kind of game, with those graphics to fit into 450mb. So i think they will anounce it when they release WiiWare
Its certainly not the gameplay, if u read matt cassamasina's blog on ign, he confirms that MOH:H2 actually beats Prime 3 in the control department with an amazing amount of customization.
Its really encourging to see 3rd party titles that are really surprising us with these kind of games. Good job EA
Yeah, sony probably will step up in 2008, but i dont think it will be enough to catch up in sales to the wii, maybe the 360 cause it sucks in japan, but not the wii. Not that sales should even matter when u are buying a console.
As for the games, most of u people are really over reacting about it, there are a lot of great games for the hardcore crowd now, and even more coming out, especially the 1st party titles, which are always some of the best games on all consoles.

ok, maybe there are some reviews around in the internet, but my point is very clear, how can someone compare a game they havent even played(cause it hasnt been released) to a SCAN from a magazine of a game thats nowhere near to something that can actually be called a game
I really doubt thats actual gameplay, it may be in-game graphics, but actual gameplay??? dont think so. And to all those people saying it wil be better than the 360 game, all i can say, is that u have taken to new extremes the fanboyism, u are actually comparing an unrealeased 360 game with a scan of a magazine, and already saying wich is better... Yeah, im also disapointed in BW2 scores, but im gonna wait for IGN reviews, i trust those to check how are the games. Im not really surprised for Z&W after all the great things i've read about it. Maybe i wasnt expecting a 9.0(same score on IGN btw), but i did expected 8+.
The one that did surprise me is Fire Emblem, not because its bad, because i LOVE that franchise, but because there is no graphic improvement at all, and because it doesnt have IR support(clearly a GC to Wii port...

Wow, i never expected IGN to give it 10, i was more on the line of 9.8 just to not put a perfect score, but it really looks like an amazing game. But lets not forget that IGN gave GTA SA a 10 and then a couple of days later they backed down because of all the typical bugs and stuff, but it certainly doesnt look like thats gonna happen with this one. I predict a 9.8 on metacritic, sitting on top with Ocarina of Time
Cant wait to get my PS3 with this game next week ;)
