The ones disagreeing with Two-Face - 'No Single PS3 Exculsive beat Crysis.' Have you actually played (not just looked at some screen shots) Crysis 1? It is obvious that Crysis 1 is better visually. That game used techniques ahead of its time. Even today, you can't find anything that looks better, from a technical standpoint.
Only if internet providers stop capping bandwidth. Comcast says that 250GB is well above the average user... well, with the scope of the internet, digital information/media, awareness and userbase, that number is going to have to be a whole lot bigger in 10 or 20 years.
If they won't take the time and resources to make alternate HD textures for their PC versions, why would they do anything extra for the PS3 version? Every game that comes out multi-platform gets the lowest common denominator's ability to store in RAM and render textures...
Just to let you know ufo8mycat (like the name), there are more games released for the PC every year, than all other current gen consoles combined. I'll state that again. Combined. Are all of them blockbusters? No. But, still more choices, more happiness.
@redDevil87 - That's great and everything but the reason you prefer console gaming is moot, because that is an option for PC, as well. The fact that you don't want to do something, does not negate that you can do it and the option exists. PS- I can relax in my comfortable chair while gaming on my PC.
@peeps - Yes, it's called a LCD display lit with an LED lamp. Hello... McFly, anybody in there?
@TOO PAWNED - What equals a rushed game? I think 2 years is the maximum a game should take to produce. I think that's a reasonable time frame. I think that all games -excluding MMO- should not be over 20 million in budget. If you have 30 people working on a game -and I mean working, not grab assing- and you average them out to 50k a year in salary, that costs 1.5 million a year in salary. This seems highly doable, even if you inflate their wages by 30% from that base figure. Since th...
I personally disagreed because of the 'go back to PC gaming!' line. There's nothing wrong with PC gaming and most PC gamers are not pirates, just like most console gamers aren't pirates. I'll say to you what my dad always says to BS... screw that noise.
Both OpenGL and Cock4Gamers are correct.
Not only that, but think about it... people who bought the PS3 within a year of launch had to pay like $600.00
That's only $100.00 less than I spent for my PC and I bought the parts like within 6 months of the PS3 launch here in the US. Since then I've been getting maximum use out of my PC, simply because it is a PC. I spend AT LEAST $10.00 less for every game I buy which mean in a hypothetical situation, if ...
What are you talking about? I don't mind talking about them at all. I have a computer that I put together for about 700 dollars (including OS). I later got an upgraded monitor 24inch that cost about 300 more. So, for my rig it ended up costing me $1000.
I put that thing together back in mid 2007 and it is still going strong. Not only that, but the parts I used were not high dollar items at the time and I'm still able to play most everything that comes out on the h...
It seems like we get a lot of poorly translated mishmash. The game looks okay. I'm cautiously optimistic. It, like all multiplatforms are always going to look the best on the PC and probably play the best, as well for various reasons.
Lord of The Pings
Funny how the one being attacked gets charged with a misdemeanor, when someone charges into HIS home and beats HIM up. What, just because he grabs a knife? So, should he wait until he is unconscious to do something to give him the advantage or simply hope that nothing truly crippling or potentially deadly happens to him in the meantime? Society is fucked... for multiple reasons.
That's actually not why EA or Activision exists. Their existence has nothing to do with piracy or the lack thereof. In many ways, independent developers are better off than those that are intimately involved with the larger publishers or outright owned by them. They have freedom and if they start out small and grow in a moderate fashion that can sustain their growth, they will be the real winners. The concept of AAA productions are what is causing real problems in the industry as a who...
@Xiphos - That was priceless.
This is a likely outcome.
If it didn't work, it wouldn't even load up to the intro movies or menu.
The one thing I really love about the Warhammer universe is, the sheer level of brutality with a purpose. A never ending struggle, where one 'victory is but a prelude'. What a great line.
It looks pretty impressive visually and it looks like it would be fun to play.
@mrcash - My god... that's the most objective and realistic thing I've seen in the comments since I last posted something.
Oops.
Seriously though, I totally agree with you. This console war bs was old before it began.
Looks interesting. I notice how they say it brings Origins to its conclusion... That's an odd way to put it, because it means that the originally shipped final retail product was not complete. Like they wanted to add this in, but didn't for some reason (see money).
So, it's cool that it's coming, but still not cool at the same time.
