I think it would be somewhat complicated to implement for a IP like Batman and might not be particularly rewarding to play. I can't imagine Batman doing side missions for money or collecting weapons when he already has all the money he would ever need and the best most cutting edge tech to work with. I suppose you could have a limited sandbox element to a Batman game, but it would have to be done in a believable manner that is consistent with the Batman universe.
As far as I'm concerned, for $60.00 a game better blow me away and wash my dishes afterwards.
I don't know if I qualify as one of his, 'older gamer crowd', but I am turning 30 in October, so maybe I do.
All I do know is, this guy doesn't know what the hell he's talking about and it seems to me he created this article/blog/opinion piece to ruffle feathers and get people riled up.
Pretty much nothing in that thing is accurate. People have a love/hate response to DLC because it's very nature necessitates it. Just because I have ...
Wow a disagree... how interesting. Please explain.
I thought Dungeon Siege was made by Gas Powered Games? I must have tripped and fell into a wormhole or something. Oh well, I'm fairly sure this will be a pretty good offering. But, I kind of thought the second game was rather bland.
The indie scene is bigger than ever before. It's truly possible for 1-4 guys to compete with 100 man teams, in terms of a game that is profitable and generates a following.
The power of the internet.
Even if this is true and it will come out at some point... I'm not sure I personally can care anymore. It's one thing to not work on something and move on to other projects and then come back to a IP after a lot of time has passed. But, this game was supposed to be out before the last decade was up... I mean, think about that. It should not take that long to make a finished product. I don't care how anal or how much of a perfectionist you might be... that's not how things ...
Yet another multiplayer game... say it with me kids... monetized.
You've been hit by. You've been struck by, a smooth criminal.
So true. The cost of a BR movie is absurd. Right now the burnable media disparity is still high, as well. You spend about $2.00 per Bluray disc to the $0.56 per DVD. Sure, you get a lot more storage space and visual fidelity, but is it really worth that large of a difference in price? Especially when you take into consideration that this has been consumer level tech since before the PS3 was released, it's hard to swallow.
Eventually, the price will come down... bu...
I have not been a big fan of the Left 4 Dead series. I would like to see them work on a new Single Player experience IP or continue Half Life. We don't need anymore online coop whateverthehell that is exclusively those things. I need single player...single player!
How about they 'plan to just not release it' all together. Yet another uninspired shooter is not what we need. I know, I know... you've bought them all and you love the series... and you own every Madden game since the Tecmo Bowl days.
Just sleep now... sleep.
They look like they can't spell and don't have jobs. Now, they very well might be able to spell quite well and have great jobs... but, I doubt it.
I am looking forward to this game. Their first take on the franchise wasn't everything I had wanted, but it was a good experience. It's done by a number of the same people who made the original Fallout game. So, it's in good hands.
I read the interview and there is nothing wrong with what he said. He did not talk about anything not being included in the game. He simply talked about why they decided to do this or that. I don't see a problem. To those just blindly throwing hate around, stop. It makes you look like a petulant child.
@Cartesian3D - It has been confirmed that it will be released on PC.
I don't care what platform the game is on, it is always sad when a game gets cancelled. We all lose.
It's probably the best move to make... or more to the point, not to make.
There is no doubt in my mind that going public and thereby opening yourself up to all sorts of issues - not the least of which is a buyout situation - is a wrong move for a creative product company. You want to know why the game industry is somewhat stagnant right now? The majority of the well-known developers are owned by someone else.
They all traded control for money, beca...
I'm bigger! No, I'm bigger!
This just in, the Sun is hot.
End.
I'm pretty sure the Gameboy/Advanced was pirated so hard it carried around a bottle of rum and had an eye patch.
It would actually be funny to have some boxes made up just for that and have a film crew film people's reactions. Duke Nukem, you've screwed me for the last time...that I know of.
