@Naruga
What exactly is suspicious about what you just wrote? If a company struggles, investors pull out. If they succeed, investors invest. That seems pretty normal.
Eh, she could have said "fairly soon" or "for the holidays" or anything that starts with an F. I have to say the interviewer is an idiot, she was about to say something and he just cut her off and kept talking and then never even went back to it.
Meijer (grocery/retail chain in Midwest) had a coupon for $100 off any X1X system. Additionally you would get a $125 coupon to use on a future purchase. Fallout 76 bundle was on sale for 399.99. So minus the coupon it was 299.99 and then $125 coupon for a future visit. We get our groceries there, so it is as good as cash to me.
Was actually May, not April.

Ya, it certainly isn't a loophole. It was laid out in their terms of the deal.
And while it isn't free, it is 67% off, which is a great deal.
I was able to snag an brand new X1X back in April for less than $200. On top of them trying to push their GamePass so hard, I've now got Game Pass Ultimate through 3/4/2022 and all I paid was for $1 for 3 months of GamePass, $90 for two years of Gold, and then $1 for this Ultimate deal.
So, getting an X1X and all their the Xbox exclusives (plus a lot more free games) for less than $300 total for almost the next 3 years to compliment my PS4 is a pretty sweet deal.
I really find it funny the people defending this with the "size of the game excuse". This is a single game. It was when it originally released and it sold for the standard PS1 game cost.
This isn't two or three games, it is one. It is a cash grab.
@Unspoken
- Who cares about XCloud. It has nothing to do with the promise made for X1.
- DX12 has not delivered any of the claims they made and it has been 4 years. Don't make up excuses, that's been plenty of time. None of the performance gains they touted have come true.
- Spencer said X1X would support VR. Quotes - "Project Scorpio is actually an Xbox One that can natively run games in 4K and is built with the hardware capabilities to s...
Why would Microsoft want Gamepass on Playstation? Because they have 100 million customers. This isn't rocket science.
Yes, no one ever said the games weren't being played. But they can't maintain playerbase. That is the sign of success, especially when you're giving the games away.
Microsoft doesn't release numbers, but you can look at Twitch statistics. Check out Crackdown 3. Released on 2/15/19. Peaked at 15,257 viewers on 2/17/19. Down to less than 25 viewers a month later.

That number means nothing when the game is free with Gamepass. They're basically giving Gamepass away for free with their $1 promotions as well.
Active player count is all that matters. They don't release those numbers. But we do know that Twitch views tanked after the beginning.
No where did I say that.
@Guilty
Yes, X1X has more "true 4K" and is more powerful. No one denies that.
The point is they had to brag and call their machine a "true 4K" machine and that turned out to be more talk and they couldn't deliver it.
Ya, no one could put down those trash games like Sea of Thieves, CD3 or SoD2....
What does one have to do with the other? Spencer is an improvement, but he's still trash.
Spencer has been in charge of their games since prior to taking over. He was to blame for that too.
- Power of the Cloud for Xbox One. No power here folks.
- DX12 game changer. It didn't change anything.
- Xbox One was supposed to support VR. Xbox One doesn't support VR.
- He promised new games. Where are the games? Their new IPs have been complete duds. Cancelled games.
- X1X was supposed to be "true 4K" and they tried to put down PS4 Pro for not being "true 4K". But many games on X1X still use the same 4K techniques th...
You can make that argument, but maybe they shouldn't have had a press conference and bragged so much about it beforehand. Most games ever! (mostly third party) Longest ever! It was a major let down.
They had nothing last year either. They abandoned 360 prematurely and they're doing the same thing. They just released a console less than 2 years ago, so if they're holding back for next-gen... that's messed up.
No, it won't. Kickstarter page never mentioned Steam. End of lawsuit.
You're the one repeating nonsense. The Kickstarter NEVER mentioned Steam. When you paid for the Kickstarter, you had to pick PC or PS4.
Only later did a "survey" come out asking your preference.
So...
#1. You committed to the sale prior to any mention of the word Steam.
#2. A survey is just a survey. It doesn't mean anything or promise anything.
#3. Whether they had a Steam store page has nothing to do wi...
Hardcore people may want new systems all the time, but that isn't going to work for the casual gamer (where most sales come from). X1X is already the newest system there is. Them being the next one with a new system wouldn't go well I don't think.
@mike
Stop living in the past. All PS4 games are downloadable. That is more games than in total in Gamepass.
