I love how people try to use this to put the company down. It is the opposite. Google doesn't just sit on their ass and try to milk things, like Apple does. They are constantly trying new things and aren't scared to fail. It is a good thing.
That's not exactly what he said. The expectation that every device with a screen is supposed to support Netflix is a stupid one. Nintendo has never said Netflix was going to be on the Switch. Get over it.

I don't see Gamepass becoming that great. Digital gaming has never been similar to like video movies. As of right now, it isn't even close to a Netflix style. You have to pay for a subscription for each device? Kind of stupid. The $10 price will never hold if they want any significant amount of content.
