They implement it because their consumers consume it. That is their job. Because some don't like it, they shouldn't do it? They are profiting from it. They will continue to do it until they do not profit from it. Nothing will change that ever.

Glad you brought up the concert example, because that happens all the time and you aren't going to get a refund. You can get a refund if the whole event is cancelled or if the "headline" act is not going to make it. You aren't going to get a refund because some other band scheduled to be there does not show or is removed from the event.
