Easy, a $5 refund somehow. Does it matter that it is only $5?
What if a KS offered a game for $30. Game + Expansion Pass for $60.
After the campaign closes, they decide that they will just give the Expansion to everyone for free.
Is that still acceptable? I would hope you would say it isn't.
I don't think that is the issue here. They paid for a higher-price reward tier that was supposed to give "early access". The developer has now decided everyone will get early access.
So they basically paid more for no reason. Why shouldn't they be upset?
If he enjoyed it and he's getting his 15 minutes of fame... why does there need to be some other point?
I never said Minecraft doesn't having anything to do with their Gaming and Entertainment division.
I said it doesn't anything to do with Xbox really. By that I mean that Minecraft is worth the money whether or not it succeeds on X1.
GOTY contender based solely on what Microsoft has said? Riiiighht.
Probably the millions who bought the game and sunk hundreds of hours into it. Even the vocal minority who whine and moan will probably buy the sequel.
Having an opinion is okay. But your opinion can be wrong, which is the question posed here.
To me this isn't even a matter of opinion.
No one has played this game. No one knows what it is worth.
It is crazy because he is the head of a large corporation. He is basically saying that consoles dont offer anything over PCs. It isn't true and even if it was true... you don't admit that in his position.
Why isn't he talking about the things that make consoles better?
Kiwi MS spending 2.5 billion on Minecraft doesn't have anything to do with Xbox really.
Minecraft is a PC first experience. It is the most marketed franchise in all of gaming. Clothing and toys like no other.
Minecraftvs success (present or future) does not rely on Xbox.
Why did he need to say "in US" when we're talking about NPD? That's a given.
"I have invested an ungodly amount of hours into Destiny and it’s disappointing to look back and reflect on how little the game actually offers. Unless you are simply a competitive multiplayer player, Destiny doesn’t offer much in the way of staying power."
It lacks replayability, but he's spent an ungodly amount of hours.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
You didn't get any free AAA games until the PS3 was almost 6 years old.
Don't expect them to give away free games so easily.
His point still stands. What you get out of the box is all you are owed. Anything they do after that is extra.
Don't get your panties in a twist. Just poking fun at fanboys who support Microsoft with 100% conviction.
Microsoft announces Fable Legends
- Fanboys declare X1 superiority
Microsoft cancels game
- Fanboys say Fable hasn't been good in years, it won't be missed
Microsoft is bringing it back
- Fanboys say MS listens to the fans!
What is worse....
a) A gamer complaining about this option
b) The fact that a "News" article was made out of a small tweet
Maybe you should look at it again. They didn't give away any big PS3 titles until February 2012 (Far Cry 2 which was 3.5 years old at that point) and then June 2012.
- That is 18-24 months after they started giving away free games.
- More importantly that was almost 6 years after the PS3 was released.
Sony's arrogance is showing how?
I wasn't trying to redirect anything.
When you said they were just trimming the fat and that Sony did this a couple years ago, I thought you were saying Sony specifically did what Microsoft did. Which I'm saying they didn't.
But if you are just saying that company's trim fat... sure that is true.
People were worried about Sony, because X1 fans were claiming they were about to go bankrupt... which was never really close to hap...
As dboy said, you don't need move controllers.
Also the PS4 only costs $350 retail you know right (and does indeed come with a game)?
So, about $800 just like the OP said.
