@night, PC games aren't cheaper when you consider selling/trading

@super. If the devs poorly optimize the base version and focus more on the Neo version.... isn't that something we should worry about?

3708d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Some great trade-in offer like this would be the only way I would get one. And the only reason I'd even consider that is because my day 1 PS4 is getting very loud lately.

Most devs won't put in the extra time/resources to have a "neo" version of the game.

It isn't a joke. Sales do affect things. Indies are greatly affected. If you only have the money/resources to do one console... you're likely to target the bigger audience.

Then you also have third party exclusives. Titanfall for example. TF2 very well may have gone multiplat because of lackluster MS sales.

had, he is the CFO of the biggest console publisher. It isn't out of the realm of possibility that he knows more than any news source.

So,unless you have anything to prove him wrong... you're the one talking out of your ass.

PS3 was most powerful last gen and won in the end. So, no it isn't the first time.

Only reason 360 had a sales lead was the headstart they had.

Writing isn't my job.

The writing and grammar in that article is terrible, please shoot me.

These interviews are always the same. They rarely give good answers. For example the 2 reasons they gave in this article easily apply to Sony as well... Sony likes story-driven games and Sony can do big budget advertising.

You keep saying that they won't have to do software updates but they certainly would. They do not have the old code. So when they recode it, they will have bugs. They will have to fix those with minor patches like always.

The reason I said no MMO can survive off 150k subs is because a Vanilla server is essentially a brand new game, so it should be compared to other MMOs. If those games aren't profitable, neither would this.

If you don't think...

Most of the sources have said nothing about 4k gaming.

I don't doubt a new version comes out, but I do doubt it will have more graphical power for games.

3712d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Wait wait wait... So WoW has 5 million customers, but you Vanilla supporters think WoW is doomed because they're making the game worse.

But you think 150,000 vanilla subscribers is some big deal?

That 18 million isn't pure profit. They can't just restore the game as it was. They'd have to reprogram the game. They'd have to fix bugs. They'd have to maintain servers. They'd have to train/hire new support to support this separ...

Who says they haven't?

Only 150,000 were playing that game and it wasn't costing them a dime. How many would pay a subscription? Let's say it is all of them.

Is 150,000 subscribers enough for Blizzard to implement resources and maintain a 2nd version of WoW? Probably not.

It is definitely a rumor that has been going around. I don't know that Sony ever said it would be possible.

3712d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Some actual quotes or video of what the COO actually said might help. It doesn't appear the COO ever said anything specifically about about PS4K or Xbox Next (or whatever).

This article is doing some serious clickbait me thinks.

3712d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Not all new IP, only MS published current gen. Very specific like I said.

3713d ago 5 agree0 disagreeView comment

Maybe because Microsoft's PR team is the worst.

When they're losing, sales don't matter. Now they're bragging about something extremely specific?

3713d ago 10 agree14 disagreeView comment

I bet they counted the free Windows key, with X1 game purchase, as a 2nd sale. Wouldn't put it past them.

To those thinking it is impressive that it outsold Ryse, are you joking? Ryse was a launch game and there weren't very many people with consoles.

There are way more consoles out there now, you would expect it to outsell a launch game by far.

3713d ago 8 agree12 disagreeView comment

That first step doesn't even make sense.

They are targetting 150,000 signatures basically asking Blizzard to allow Nostalrius to come back.

What's the point? Blizzard already knows that 150,000 people were playing the game. Blizzard knew it and still made their decision. The petition seems pointless.
