Your first two examples have nothing to do with what I said. No game was cancelled and no studio was closed.
Your third example is only remotely similar. Yes, a game was cancelled, but that game was never even revealed to the public and was no where near release. Also, no studio closure was involved.
So, again... tell me when Sony cancelled a major title the year of release and completely closed the studio....
Sony cancelled one of their most touted releases of the year and shut down the whole studio.
I sure don't remember that happening.
As each month goes by, I understand less and less why X1 fans think Spencer is some hero. #inphilwetrust
I don't understand what amazing thing he has done? He's done 3 things that were good for X1 owners/potential buyers.
- Unbundle kinect. A no-brainer move. Everything knew it had to be done.
- Price drop. Again, a no-brainer move when you're getting crushed.
- Bought Gears of War.
- Timed exclusive Tomb Raider. Not even sure...
Kickstarter don't take 30%. If you're going to call someone out for being misinformed, don't post something ridiculous yourself.
What the what
No reason other than MS saying it was X1 exclusive? Did you forget about that?
It matters because without console competition, Sony may not try as hard.
That's not the same thing... can your brain not comprehend that?
Let's say you have a PS4 and no Vita. Sony announces God of War 4 is coming only to Vita. Being a GOW fan, you buy a Vita. Then weeks before release, Sony announces it is coming to PS4 too.
You got a right to be pissed? Hell yes.
It's pretty simple and not hard to understand.
If you buy a system because it is the only place to get certain games, but then those games come to another system... you were duped.
Like I said he was ranting based on what he has talked about with MS for 18 months.
Like I said he never claimed MS was already doing this, but he was raising his concern that they were on that path (based on what he discussed with them).
Phil putting out a couple tweets doesn't mean anything to me. We'll see in the coming months if Tim was worried for no reason.
Sorry, but that's not how I see it. If we take him at his word, which we have no reason not to, he has been in private talks with Microsoft for 18 months in regards to UWP. Microsoft even acknowledges it. I think Tim knows more than the average person, certainly than any of us here.
Tim didn't actually accuse MS of doing anything bad yet, but he was expressing his concerns over what he understands they plan on doing. It doesn't make sense that he would throw t...
You're right about DX12, but get a clue. Did you read the article? I guess not.
Parts/features of the OS are locked down unless you agree to use their UWP. That is the problem.
March 11th was the first official release date. 8 weeks is based on that.
The 2015 was just an estimate way ahead of time.
I'm just saying that because there is some never ending world, doesn't mean it is worth $60.
Maybe it is or maybe it isn't. No one has played the game.
Not exactly. With your logic, the game should cost millions because you could never, ever visit every place in the game.
You're just repeating the same thing over and over again with a dynamically created world.
A 3 or 4 year project took 8 weeks longer than expected.
Soooooo terrrrriibbbllleeee.
Ummm... how can anyone say whether it is worth it or not if no one has played the whole game?
No, but one does not expect someone in his position to say such great things for their competitor.
X1 owners and Microsoft shareholders shouldn't be too happy. They asked Spencer what games he was looking forward to this year. Division, UC4 and QB... ? Maybe he should have listed some more MS exclusives and not said anything about Sony exclusives.
Honest or not... you shouldn't do it when you are the head of Xbox.
It isn't news in any way, shape or form. Put it under some other category if this is something worthy of a conversation.
Also don't give it some flame-bait title.
Bunch of people in here trying to make fun of Sony for taking 5 years to do this or making fun of the site for thinking this is old news. Get a clue.
Sony gave out free games to everyone back in the day as an apology. That is not what this is.
If you decided to join the lawsuit against them over the data breach, which was only finalized in May 2015... this is your reward.
