Sure it is a cash grab, but as long as consumers pay for it... they will continue to do it.
There are free OS and also a lot of people already have an OS that they can transfer.

Uh that really isn't that much. 3.5 million games sold. So 43 cents per person average.
40/40 vision doesn't mean anything different than 20/20.
And 20/20 vision is "normal vision". So, thanks for pointing out that the average person can see the difference.
There definitely are certain games that have this issue. Street Fighter V being one of the most recent examples. A complete lack of characters compared to the past.
But there are gamers who will complain about EVERYTHING. Fallout 4 for example. The base game offers 60-80 hours of content. This is beyond reasonable. They don't owe us anything more if they don't want. If they didn't offer any DLC, no one would complain.
But they do offer more...
Pivot your average game gives no where near 80 hours of content. Don't use an extreme example.
Why not? Because that is time and resources which is money.
You named one example of another game doing this, which happened to be a first party title in which Sony was trying to show the power of the system... that doesn't mean it is common. Name other games that added graphical features after release?
If the Season Pass offers as much content as a full game... isn't that justification?
This isn't greed. This is no different than expansions that have existed for a long time on PC.
- In the past you paid $60 for a game and that was it.
- You still pay $60 for a game. These games offer just as much content as games in the past. Fallout 4 has more content than 99% of the games from the 80s and 90s.
- Now you can buy even more content offering dozens of hours of additional content.

The revealed content is ALREADY worth more than $30, so why are you saying it isn't?

They've basically added $20-30 worth of content on top of their original plans.
They gave a 2 weeks ahead up about this in which you are able to get the season pass for the same price. Effectively you're getting that extra content for free.

Loaded it may look like exclusives aren't doing much for PS4 because they are steadily releasing them and Playstation fans know what is coming.
I, and may others like me, go with PS because they have always put out a multitude of exclusives.
Full exclusive means it is only available on a single platform.
