PC gamers love to brag about 4k when nearly no one plays games at that resolution. Hell, only a third even hit 1080p.
Steam survey from July:
34.72% played at 1920x1080.
0.07% played at 3840x2160.
Don't even talk about 8k, it pretty much doesn't exist.
Simple, don't watch the streams?
Sure you can. They had 4 years worth if old titles they could have given away when PS Plus was introduced. It still took them over another year before they gave away a 3 year old AAA title.
We don't even know all the Sony games are giving for April, so I'm not sure why we're already crowning Microsoft.
Last month.
PS3 release in November, 2006.
First AAA title I see that was given away for free was Tomb Raider Underworld in December 2011. (that game itself was over 3 years old at the time)
We didn't get any free AAA titles until that system was 5 years old.
PS Plus has been consistently better than Gold games... now PS Plus needs to all of a sudden step it up?
The main purpose is you have a system that just works for many years and don't have to bother with it.
Modules have failed everytime in the past.
Console upgrades have tried and failed. They will never get mass adoption.
They go against the whole purpose of a console.
I still refuse to believe this will be a reality.
I wouldn't mind if it were true and the games were guaranteed to be on both systems. But I would be pissed the first time a game required PS4.5.
That's a bit of a stretch.
This needed an explanation why?
Must explain why the 360 was so much more successful...
Really a random Amazon chat is confirmation? Riiight.
That person clearly had no clue what they were talking about.
This being the most laughable part "you can contact us stating you only want the stand, and then you can return the other".
Then the OP says that is his plan? Purposefully order the bundle, wait til he gets it, then do a return and order the standalone? That literally makes no sense. Why pre-order at all?
If sales are bad it could kill the franchise. Not hard to understand.
Those days are over?!?!?! Should I sell my PS4?
On top of that the October 2015 rumors were based on E3 rumors, which was even several months before that.
Sony themselves announced 35.9m on January 6th.
There was a MS person who on January 11th said there were 18m X1 activations... which is the best estimate anyone has.
So you're clearly overestimating X1 numbers and underestimating PS4 numbers.
VGChartz is probably not very far off.
I don't really care if its already been spent. They basically tricked people into paying an extra $5 for no reason. That's wrong.
You can't advertise a certain reward if you spend more, but then give the reward to everyone. That is dumb.
You're right millions of people are PC gamers. Combine that with the 4k stats proves that no one except a few elite care about 4K.
So when consoles don't do 4k, no one really cares.
