To play playstation games with or without a playstation. If you're an xbox gamer who wants to try out uncharted, you would have no need to buy a PS3 just for that, You just turned on your smart TV and rented it for a bit. If you're someone who travels a lot, you wouldn't have to lug your console around from airport to airport, or if you simply want to play a game without having to pay full price. Now Sony messed this up royally, and PS now is essentially rubbish. But you'l...
But you just did a fair amount of spinning yourself. PS Now was never meant to be a solution to backwards compatibility, they never referred to it as such, yet you pretend like that's the case.
So MS still forced you pay more. But it's ok because now we're talking about MS.
If it helps you cope, they all do anti consumer stuff. MS and Sony we just covered, and Nintendo links your digital purchases to the hardware instead of your profile.
And the xbox play and charge kit sold separately?
They had a ton of exclusives. Remember back when you were crying "indiestation", "Japanese games don't count!" and "remasters don't count because those are old games?" notice how now that you got BC, old games suddenly matter? How you have to bring up cuphead when talking upcoming games? How excited you are because Phil took a trip to Japan?
As for the 5 year away games... Yes, we're waiting on games like Detroit and days gone, but guess ...
Like all xbox fanboys you missed the point. It wasn't that PS4 was more powerful. it was that PS4 was more powerful and cost $100 less. Sony's machine was just by far and away a better value.
Also, to a later point you made, Sony has been getting games for PS4 through out it's release. But if you remember it was the xbox crowd downplaying it saying things like Japanese games don't count, indie games don't count, remasters don't count. And now they'...
Money? If I can just pop in my old copy, why bother buying it again. Despite how little it's used, BC is very consumer friendly move. especially for someone like me who doesn't care too much about prettier pictures.
Besides, it's not a paid service, you can use it for free, so it hurts no one except people wanting to buy a used copy of an old game that is now backwards compatible, well they might suffer from some price inflation.
horizon alone vs all X1 BC titles?
@death, I'd guarantee you they download/redeem them. but actually play them? I'd more assume they get added to the back log.
"Which is no longer the case. It's now either PC or Playstation gaming device only."
that's a moot point. they've had to adjust what PS Now is because of how much they bungled it. But the fact remains, it was never intended to be an answer to BC. Sure chewing gum happens to be sticky, but that doesn't mean it was intended to be a replacement for scotch tape. Now that they've converted their factory to make a very crappy form of tape does that mean t...
@ Christopher, I disagree with your premise. PS Now was not designed to specifically play old games (by which I believe you mean as an answer to backward compatibility). PS Now was supposed to be a new platform almost. One where you didn't need a physical playstation to play its games. Now they bungled this utterly and completely, but they did come out and say it wasn't their version of BC.
I also don't get why you're calling on playstation to be honest about wh...
Not most, just the ones on here. the majority don't give that kind of thought the time of day. It's the more insecure ones you'll find with that attitude. they need to justify the thousands they spent, or they need to feel superior in some way. But the majority of PC gamers I've come across in my gaming circle of friends are just into MOBAs and MMOs, things that don't have a strong presence on consoles. heck most have both consoles and PCs.
So you let the guy bashing on console gamers as "buying garbage" get a pass, but the one who calls him out on fanboyism is like a child? It's almost like you're ok as long as PC gamers get looked at in a positive light. get some principles you can stand behind man.
Oh and just so you know, I have a gaming PC. Just don't like people like that giving all PC gamers a bad name with their master race BS.
No one goes to gamestop.
Yeah so what's the latest petition where PC gamers are begging for a port? is it Nioh? RDR2?
B.O.B. believes the earth is flat because he read it somewhere.
Yeah I use both. digital games won't get lost or damaged but they also can get taken away with a ban or PT situation. pros and cons to both
It was about on par with season 2. My only gripes are the flashback scenes aren't that great and typical telltale where you choose to say something but your characters says something completely different.
(minor spoilers: a guy starts yelling at his wife for breaking a drinking glass, and you choose "tell him off" and your character jumps straight to, "your wife's leaving you, she told me so.")
The duck you talking about gold buy?
In the butt it does.
