The rumor I heard was they gave it the axe because they wanted it to be more multiplayer focused and platinum wanted to keep it as much single player as possible. Grain of salt though. In just heard that while watching theknow's youtube channel. don't know how credible their sources are.

@butcher, I don't cut Sony any slack at all on Street fighter. that was a bad move. street fighter has fans that game on xbox. to pay money for them not to be able to play it is just crummy. Yes tomb raider was the same scenario but it doesn't matter who does it, unless you're in a bayonetta 2 situation where the game won't get made other wise, keeping others from playing a known multiplat franchise is never cool.
It's all of those PLUS exclusives. xbox fanboys keep willfully ignoring this because they don't want to admit xbox is lacking in any major way, thus never tell Phil and co. So they feel no need to invest in them. Why do you think they say things like "halo won't get stale because our fans won't get stale." It's because xbox fanboy, theirmost vocal fans, keep telling them that forza gears and halo are enough.

Nintendo is doing it right. This late in the gen, shoot for being people's second console. Plus offer something their main console can't. gaming on the go. with xenoblade, Metroid (if it ends up looking good, need more than a title screen) and Mario xcom, I only need to see 2 more games before I make the plunge for a switch.
As for MS, I'm in the minority here, but I have a PC so an xbox is just redundant. But If I didn't, I'd say they're making some right...

It was just a stupid thing to say. to me "we don't hold content back from other platforms" is the same thing as saying they don't believe in exclusives in any form.
Now what he wanted to say is Sony isn't allowing cross platform play but we are. Just because Bobby says he doesn't like apples don't accuse him of hating all fruit.

I'd say true, PS compared to themselves last year was underwhelming, but compared to MS, they still won out for my vote. But They both lost to Nintendo.

From a business standpoint it makes sense, but this is one of Sony's more anti consumer moves. they have the largest install base by a wide margin. So most likely your friends that don't care about plastic box loyalty as much probably have a PS4. If you want to play with them and you're an xbox fan, you'll have to make the switch, or add a PS4 to your entertainment center.
