Are you sure xander? be cause it seems more like you buy what MS tells you to buy. You claim most multiplats are rubbish, you say that you won't buy remedy games anymore because they went multiplat, all this would suggest that you like exclusives but xbox is very limited in that regard compared to playstation, nintendo or PC. It does have the best combat I've ever come across fro fighting huge enemies. no more wacking away at a dragon's ankles.
I remember the excuse back in the day was something along the lines of the car manufacturers didn't allow them to show their fancy cars getting all banged up or some other such nonsense. I never really thought that excuse held water since others games could do it.

Oh, it's pie in the sky now, for sure. But it didn't used to be all games came out with a standard price. But I acknowledge that it won't go back to that. We've already spoiled the publishers by gobbling up their DLC and season passes. and they won't let that money go. So even if EA charges $80 for mass effect, there'll still be dlc and micro transactions. Now CDPR would be the exception, but sadly they wouldn't be nearly enough to cover the EA's and Ubis...
Yup, it was the value proposition that was the problem. It was a 5 hour game, that's fine. but the lack of content was not. Other than that, my only real gripe was the repetitive QTE boss fights.
But this and Ryse are my go to examples on one end when ever I make the case for not all games costing a standard $60. (the order should be less than $60 while something like witcher 3 should be more).
I agree with him. It wanted to be a show piece. a "look what the PS4 can do". and the game is gorgeous.
Not all the right moves, some right moves, sure but the over reliance on the forza/gears/halo trifecta and game cancellations need to stop before I'd say all the right moves.
