That's pretty much what crap gamer (one of the biggest xbox fanboys out there) said about quantum break and Phil had to set him straight.
They're fanboys, their "opinions" are entirely contingent on where ever xbox has an advantage. nothing new there.
That said, xbox one does have 1 true exclusive left standing, sunset overdrive.
Can I buy pot from you?
@aconnellan He's right though. racing games aren't exactly demanding. notice how just about every other type of AAA game shown is hitting 4K sure, but at 30fps. X1X is powerful, no doubt, but using Forza as the measuring stick is a little disingenuous. Kinda like when Sony was using last of us remastered to show an example of a game running at native 4K.
I just don't get it. Fans have been screaming at them that they're getting clobbered with games and the same old same old isn't cutting it, that we need new games, new ip. and what do they bring to E3, the same games announced ages ago, third party timed exclusives and even older games. The saving grace was them going back to showing indie love. Though that came off as more necessity than anything else.
Seems like they bet the farm on scorpio as far as E3 goes and tha...
New sucker punch no show was a disappointment. but I did kind of half expect them to save it for PSX. I have a feeling that they're going to start treating PSX as a showcase for the indies, pet projects and one big gun. Sucker punch being said big gun this year.
Not to mention the thing with E3 is these guys always save some stuff for later. Tokyo game show, paris games week, games developer conference, PSX. We've got plenty more coming. And that's not even limited to Sony.
It was a good conference in a slew of ok ones. kind of a lackluster E3 this year. But we've been getting so many awesome E3 showing the last few years we were bound to hit a snag.
Personal opinion: between Sony and Ubisoft as far as having the best show. behind them, I'd say Microsoft with Bethesda and Ea tied for last. Ea had the worst conference, but Bethesda lost MAJOR point by going for paid mods.
@Jason, actually the "just get a PC" line started when xbox came out with play anywhere, essentially PC will get all xbox exclusives but keep exclusives of its own. When you guys start saying best version of multiplats, it just adds another reason to get a PC over xbox.
I wasn't talking quality, I was talking appeal. Killzone is good, but not a system seller like uncharted or halo. We can't even speak to crakcdown's quality yet, though, I must say, I don't really see anything to get hyped about. Looked like just a different take on saints row 4.
honesty.
They do that all the time. Make it look as good as possible to build hype and get those pre order numbers up. they don't care how much X1X sells, they care how much metro sells.
It got put into a position of carrying X1 on its shoulders alone for 2017 when it was meant to be one of a bunch of titles. So now we have a game that's on the level of a killzone (good but not great) expected to be punching in the same weight class as unchartered and halo.
I'm guessing they were banking on Terry Crews to be what we were all talking about.
That's assuming a lot. for the price of a scorpio you can buy both a base PS4 and X1S. To get these superior multiplats you're looking primarily at people who are upgrading their Xbox's. I don't think you're going to find many converts as hardly anyone will give up their entire PS4 library to trade in for a X1X. and those looking to get a X1 for the first time will most likely be turned off by the price tag. Like MS keeps pointing out, this is for the enthusiasts. Fu...
@Faz, I've been saying for a while now the best way to refer to them is as MS exclusives and Playstation exclsusives.
When we say exclusive, we all 90% of the time mean the other consoles can't play them. saying something's also on PC or also on last gen, that's all semantics.
@ steve, neither of those are the issue. the issue is the timed exclusive games being referred to as console launch exclusive to try and trick people into thinking they're consoles exclusives.
@reed, because they try to fool you into thinking their timed exclusives are console exclusives. Sony is very clear when they say "first on playstation."
@reed No it's not. you only think so because you want MS to win E3. calling it down the middle, MS is obviously trying to fool people into thinking their timed exclusives are console exclsuives.
Hey if you agree EA won the conferences, good for you. I just want some pot.
