Didn't they say something like holiday exclusive? then purposefully didn't go into details because they wanted everyone to think the only way to ever play it was on xbox.
That's not why rise of the tomb raider sold more on PS4. It sold more on PS4 because that's where the majority of its audience is.
@ Anubis, you bring politics into every article. don't you? Ellie in the last of us turns out to be gay and you object to it. Uncharted 4's DLC is starring 2 females and you cry SJW. and so on and so on. So I'd say best to stop being the black pot.
If you don't have a PC or like PC gaming?
oh that and if you REALLY love Halo gears and forza.
T'is a little shady.
Agreed, it was a decent showing. But taken in context, decent wasn't nearly good enough. They needed to blow us away and that didn't happen.
I guess I'd put it like, if you already have an X1, or have already decided to get one, you're thinking "oh cool games I'll get to play soon." But for the customers they needed. the ones that they have to actually convince to go out and buy an X1, they're most likely thinking, "Eh, not enough."
True 4K, fake exclusive.
But now is the time to see how many xbox fanboys stand on principle. for the first couple years of this gen we heard that indies don't count. Now, I've always counted indies, counted Kinect games, motion games, pretty much everything except most of mobile. But It'll be interesting to see how many of them stick by indies not counting now that they need them fluff their list of xbox games.
guaranteed it will be. Pro's price will drop at Sony's conference. Pro's been out for a year, the parts are cheaper now and it's a great way to take some of the wind out of scorpio's sails.
I agree darth. I think if they would normally charge $600 but they need to take a bigger loss to get it into homes and better compete with Sony, so $500.
@kingtrash but they're not going for mass market adoption, they're just looking for the enthusiasts.
I agree oh so much
Well, yeah they always save stuff for GDC, paris games week, PS experience and TGS.
@magicbeans, welp, I found the one guy who says BC is a bad thing.
It's silly. What would have been best would be to have BC baked in from the start. That way every game would be just plug and play instead of emulation where they have to go and ask for permission to make a game BC. MS only brought about BC because they're getting slaughtered in sales and Sony didn't do it because they wanted to save money. Of this gen only Nintendo did BC right with the Wii U.
Hopefully Sony and MS take notes for future consoles.
Scorpio can't steal the show, it's theirs to lose. If something steals the show they'd be stealing it from Scorpio. it has the most buzz of anything heading in.
MS put out a big number, over 500 million hours in about 2 years. Sounds really impressive until you realize that in one month there's over 1 billion hours played on xbox 1's.
@gumby PS Now was never meant to be BC. A lot of people seem to think it's Sony's BC. They have never once said PS Now is their version of BC. In fact they made it a point to say it wasn't. PSNow is dumb, unused and should be killed off, agreed. But It's not Sony's BC.
Also, I'd much rather xbox realese their sales numbers than Sony release PS now numbers. at least xbox one is relevant in gaming.
One thing I will definitely give Sony is that they said from the start, no BC. To me that meant, keep your PS3. So I did, along with my 360, 1 because MS said the same at first and 2 because I got the really cool R2D2 themed one.
But I will say this, if a hypothetical choice was given to me of either getting BC or Sony developing Horizon zero dawn, I'd pick Horizon knowing how that game turned out.
@death. 7.5 games sold on average worldwide. I'd wager that number jumps up quite a bit with the people discussing BC here on N4G.
That still doesn't say who's being negative towards it.
I believe the game that was shown just before it had "exclusive" said in some form and after that they jumped right into metro. that might be the cause of the confusion.
