The pic of the waterfall stage with Chun vs Bison, is that confirmation of a day/night cycle?
LOL. I know 1 thing, you can't use the internet test on PS3/PS4 to accurately assess how much down/up you get, it's always random. You have to just actually watch while downloading to see what speeds you're actually getting.
Oh snap! That came out of nowhere. My boi Haohmaru gettin' some love. Good god, it really is the new renaissance of fighting games. My first real fighting stick is gonna get some proper use.
Yeah, and he's been mentioning his love for videogames looong before he had an opportunity to make any $$$ off it. Like his nickname coming from the game 'Rampage'.
Cool, I've seen a little bit of Rampage streaming here and there. I like that these guys are showing the gaming community love, and for Rampage - that you can be an old bastard and still be a hardcore gamer, hah.
Yeah, what Tito08 said, only reason to pay slightly more for a PS4 stick is so you don't have to use a DS4 with it to use the Home button and so you can use the touchpad. SFV will use the touchpad to allow you to quickly position the dummy and stuff in training for testing combos and tech in certain situations. If you don't care about all that, and the price difference is huge enough, then I guess PS3 stick is the way to go.
@Knushwood Butt, You got the Hayabusa or the Kai? They're different lines. I got the Hayabusa not knowing that it's technically different from Kai(Kai's stick is an inch more away from the buttons, made more for westerners). I'd have gotten Kai if I knew this, though the Kai(Silent) wasn't released until December. I'm already kinda used to the Hayabusa now and it's not a huge deal, but a little more space between the stick/buttons would have probably been better fo...
@Chevalier, yeah, if you read the comments there, it shows that's the way it's done if the driver isn't thought of early on and implemented into the code better. I think if it's implemented proper it should be an easier method, I'd have to look at how they say it works in Skullgirls, since it's those folks @ Lab Zero Games that came up with the actual driver.
Yeah, they did this super late notice on purpose. That way exactly what you did would be done by most hardcore fighting game fans. They want that $$$ for them new sticks boooi. I got a RAP V: Hayabusa(Silent) last August, but didn't have another stick at the time, so it didn't matter for me.
I feel bad for people that got a new stick when they had an expensive PS3 one already. It's exactly why they waited to mention it though. Pretty dirty move, but you can't ...
They'd have to implement it in Playstation Now separately. It's not implemented in the OS of PS4, just certain games use it separately. Sony really should go ahead and work with Lab Zero Games and do that though. So each developer doesn't have to decide whether to implement the driver separately.
Yeah, you gotta blame the higher ups at Capcom though. It's not like Ono and the SF team were getting $$ out of making such a move. They just have to do what they're told in situations like that.
Bringing up the touchpad, I think the touchpad will be useful in SFV for training mode. You'll be able to quickly position the characters on the screen with the touchpad for when you're practicing specific combos and setups. They showed it in a vid not long ago. So, that's a pretty cool advancement that might actually get me in training mode more than I'd usually go in SF.
You know why they did it though. It was to get people to go ahead and spend big $$$ on new MadCatz sticks, thinking their old PS3 sticks wouldn't work.
Yeah, I hear ya, but clearly the main reason to allow PS3 controllers is for PS3 sticks. No one really rather use a DS3 over a DS4. Plus, they're probably using the Lab Zero Game's driver(Skullgirls creator), same driver they used for USF4 on PS4, and MKX used the driver also. Thank you Lab Zero Games, glad I supported and bought Skullgirls the other day on PS4. Damn good company, and genious indie developers.
Yeah, everyone assumed that. Though, in many interviews they made it clear that it wasn't locked down, and they always kept saying it'd be a new character every 1-2 months. Though, the only info they ever gave on characters was the first 6, and that they'd all be there by Feb next year. So, simple math meant they were going with 1 char/2mo.
So, good to see it'll hopefully be 1 char/mo actually. That'll fill the roster out much quicker, and get alot more NE...
It's mainly so you can use your super expensive PS3 arcade sticks, rather than buying a new one. I doubt anyone is using it to use a DS3, atleast not for fighting games.
I think it's Lab Zero Game's driver they came up with for Skullgirls. Capcom used it already with USF4 on PS4/PC, and Mortal Kombat X used it also. I think you have to have a dual shock 4 turned on so you can do the playstation home button and other stuff, but then you can use a dual shock 3 or PS3 arcade stick to play games.
It would be cool if Sony went ahead and dealt with Lab Zero Games to just get it incorporated into the PS4 OS from a system level by default.
Believe it applies to Dual Shock 3 also.
Speaking of fighting the midnight. The recent blog confirming the most recent leaks of Alex being first DLC char and 1 char/mo and all the modes - the pic of Chun Li vs Bison on the Waterfall stage is at night time.
I wonder if this is indirect confirmation of a day/night cycle in the game?
