Cool to see the 7th cores being used.
About 2 weeks ago I plopped in a "Seagate 1TB Laptop Gaming SSHD (Solid State Hybrid Drive) SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 2.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive (ST1000LM014)" from Amazon for $76.99. I was always planning to hold off for a 2TB HDD, but for the price/performance ratio, I figured I'd go with the SSHD, even if the boost is slight. I don't need 2TB to be honest.
The 500GB was almost enough, considering I had tons of big games I wasn't playing at all and could...
Priceless.
I wasn't trying to play online for the longest. I ended up getting 2 casual matches in though earlier in the day. Later, when I turned fight request on during Survival, no matches came in though, I only had casual turned on - but still, no matches.
I think there might be a better chance getting matches if you actually go to ranked/casual, rather than using fight request, I didn't mess with it long enough to really test though. I still want to mess around more with the...
Plus, Sony's name is on the line too. This game is only coming out because Sony. Plus, it's Sony's console exclusive answer to X1's KI, one of the only big things X1 had over PS4 - A huge fan favorite fighting game. KI has a solid fan base from way back, but SF has way more nostalgia. I'm sure things will get sorted out, it's just - when?
My main issue right now is being afraid that CFN servers won't be solid. And with FM/EXP only earnable while you are connected to CFN, it means you aren't gonna want to do any of the grinding in all the offline modes, because although you can still earn the alt colors in Survival, you won't get all that FM/EXP, so in that sense it's tons of wasted grinding hours.
I wish it could be setup so you can still earn FM/EXP offline and it just sync back up the next ti...
Obviously, they got Capcom to take out Cammy's crotch shot intro, and Mika's buttslap. Yet, they give Laura some super ridiculous alt outfit. I swear, I'll never understand Capcom, they really thought it was gonna help sales to censor that stuff, yet they have all the other stuff still. Might as well bring the camera back down for Mika's buttslap, rather than lie about it with all their nonsense about why they did it.
@rainslacker, you can still play Survival or Story offline, but you won't get any FM/EXP. So, it's kind of pointless, unless you're just trying to unlock the stuff, but the Survival Mode's harder levels are 30-50-100 matches, so that's tons of FM/EXP you're missing out on if you play offline. So, it's basically locked behind online in that sense. I think you still keep the alt colors you unlock in Survival if you play offline, but still makes sense to only do it on...
I disagree on the gameplay and characters comment. Everything else is true though. I'm afraid to play more than Easy Survival(10 matches) because I don't want it to throw me out when it loses connection. I only did Ryu's Survival so far, and everyone's story, since it saves after each match for story. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have more than 2-3 stories done, cuz it disconnected that often.
A super huge main issue is the fact that you can't earn an...
Yeah, I refused to play story/survival offline once I saw the message popup saying I wouldn't earn FM/EXP. Can't help but feel they set it up on purpose like this, for more of a chance to cheat us out of FM and encourage $$$/Zenny spending on DLC.
There's no reason it shouldn't be able to allow us to still earn FM/EXP and just sync it back up the next time we log into CFN. Capcom is so frustrating.
It was almost 1am before I got on for the first time to create my CFN username. From there it's been off-on-off-on-off-on.
The worse part about it all, is you can't even earn FM/EXP unless you are connected to CFN servers while playing. So, whenever CFN servers go down in the future, you're just grinding away with no gains FM/EXP. It should still allow you to earn FM/EXP, then just sync back up and upload that data when you log back into CFN.

30 minutes to go.
Yeah, the 8 player lobby one is kinda weird. I don't see what the reason is they couldn't have that there, unless the netcode is not fully fleshed out yet, which would be pretty scary, and messed up for them saying it's their best netcode yet. Don't see how they'd be so confident in it if it was in such an early state that they aren't confident to go above 1v1 with it.
I was looking at it as releasing as a beta, or Steam Early Release title for a while now. But that's because I'm on the Capcom Forums alot and knew alot of this stuff wouldn't be there at launch. My main issues are not the current missing modes/features, it's the launch price($60) and the quality of what we get at launch.
Stages/Character story artwork/load times/animation clipping issues are all pretty bad. Some stages have better quality, some look like PS2 ...
@Hoffmann, 1 huge thing wrong with SF4 and it's updates was that it split the community up every time. The playerpool was divided and shrunken everytime a new version came out.
SFV's approach of never coming out with any new stand-alone versions and all updates/characters/patches/sta ges/etc being connected to the same base game is one of the best things they could have done. The crossplay between PS4 & PC just makes the playerpool even huger, and the only time it...
Monday @ Midnight on PS4 eastcoast US, 9pm westcoast US.
OMFG! LMAO. VR Porn is ready to go.
@frostypants, interesting. Will test that out. Another thing I learned, ofcourse if you have a game running that is online or doing any network stuff it can stop downloads or slow them crazy. After closing the game, it might not pick back up.
What you can do, that sometimes gets really slow downloads to pickup I found, go to settings and uncheck network connection, then recheck it. Sometimes the speed picks up like crazy just from turning it off then back on in system network...
If I waited, I'd probably have gotten one of those, with the detachable cord. I got my Hori RAP V Hayabusa (Silent) last August though.
Or only ask $20-$30 for the launch content.
