Dang, after all the recent articles too. That was unexpected.

"My most wanted features would be being able switch icons around and get rid of unwanted ones in the ps4 menu."

Yeah, I've never been a fan of Forced Advertisement, which is exactly what they are doing when they do that. It's ridiculous that you won't even have the apps installed and they still show up on the front with the download arrow on them. Or worse, they're auto-installed and can't be deleted, regardless of them not being a part of the co...

@Deepthegamer,
I'm in the opposite position. I thought AW was trash, but BO3 is pretty decent.

It was also the most broken, balance-wise. People running around with scavenger pro perk on and refilling their claymores, grenades & noob toobs nonstop.

Nawh, not a fan of the simple combat. I wish it could be more like something like Skyforge.

No, it just means it's time to go with a gaming PC. You get the cheaper prices, no dirtbag online paywall, and potential for way better performance/visuals.

It gives a window into the game's combat system, which I'm not a fan of. Dragon Nest, Black Desert Online, Skyforge, where you actually do your combos with button presses and timing is much better. No hold button auto-combos or spamming the button to have it do it automatically for you. If they had just put more effort into the realtime combat, it'd be so much more fun. It's a deal breaker for me that they went this simplified auto route with the combat.

Over the current version of real-time combat they have here, yeah Turn-Based would be better imo.

Though combat like Dragon Nest, Black Desert Online, or maybe Skyforge would be what I'd really want. I don't prefer turn-based over real-time combat, but if the AI is as crap as in this demo and combat is simplified as this, anything is better.

Combat in Dragon Nest is more like what should have been gone for. Maybe even the new Black Desert Online or Skyforge. Real real-time combat where you have to actually do the moves, not just holding a button for endless auto-combos.

I'm not saying I prefer turn-based to realtime action combat, just that this particular mindless hold-button combat is not good. I always prefer realtime combat over turn-based in RPGs, I'm not one of the people that begs for turn-based, but why can't it be a skilled realtime combat?

This combat feels like I'm not even playing the game, I hate games like FFIV where you hold the button and they just keep hacking and hacking mindlessly. This is just a nicer vers...

Yeah, I was hoping it'd cover a bit of the open world areas. The main issue to me was the combat though, you just hold the button to do endless attacks that repeat combos over and over. You have a dodge button, but you basically never need to use it, because even when surrounded, the dumb AI waits it's turn to get pounded on.

Why they went this route with the combat after making the movements so nice and action oriented is beyond stupid. It'd make much more sense ...

3725d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah, because they're about to redo the combat system at this point in development. GTFO. The combat is not fulfilling imo.

3725d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

Why does the combat have to be such shiiiiit?! I finished the demo, and it's the most simplified nonsense ever. Just hold the button and they keep auto-comboing. You almost never have to dodge, even when surrounded, because they just sit there and wait with their garbage AI. Why even go with realtime combat if it's gonna be hold the button? They couldn't look at a good game like Witcher or something and make you have to use some type of strategy. It's so annoying. All the grea...

Man, the graphics are so nice, too bad the combat is such a letdown. I rather they just go turn-based if they're gonna simplify the realtime combat to just holding the button down. So many realtime combat RPGs are out there that do it right, they have to go 'n mess it up.

3726d ago 2 agree7 disagreeView comment

Looks good, but I'm really not into the hold the button toddler auto-fight mechanics. It kinda ruins the whole point of making it a real-time combat game. I rather have turn-based if it's gonna be this stupid and non-strategic. Why can't it follow other good real-time combat games, let us have control over what we're doing and make up our combos and whatnot.

It's rare that you even have to dodge, because the AI is so stupid and just sits and waits 99% of t...

Been talkin' about Capcom's indecisiveness on this for a bit. That's the main point too, they take out Mika's CA split, and the camera view of her buttslap although it's her personality to be like that. Then they give Laura a personality that really doesn't fit for her background as a top respected Brazilian Jui Jitsu family member, and give her crazy oversexualized alts. They're chickens with their heads cut off on the whole thing.

In this case, it's a good point being made that it doesn't fit her personality. Unlike in SFV, where they removed the camera view of Mika's buttslap, although it's definitely her personality and the move is still there even, just out of view. Same with the end of Mika's Critical Art, where here and her partner force the opponent to do a split, and they removed that split, which makes no sense, since it actually causes more impact with the ground as a move.

They wanted a head start on all the DLC scheduling. So they robbed us at launch with the $60 price tag. Now they're slowly releasing characters/costumes that were already ready. A new vid is out now with tons of even newer costumes people found in the update.

So, they're going crazy with those costumes, while there's major major issues that still need fixing. Capcom really never learns from past mistakes. They basically found a way to get away with what they were ...

Yeah, the PS4 is successful enough that they could separate online from PS+ if they wanted, but ofcourse, being greedy-minded, why would they at this point? They're on that MS route with the paywall now, and have made so much $$$ off of the mandatory nature of PS+.

You can't blame them for not being confident in PS+ selling on it's own without the online paywall, just look at how the monthly lineup has dropped. It's getting worse too, it's all these indies...
