As much as I didn't care for Heavy Rain, comments like that in a "review" (or whatever the hell kind of article this poorly-written triipe is supposed to be) are seriously BAD form.
Final Fantasy XIV was a success?
Really?
With /that/ battle system?
With /that/ level design?
Sorry: no.
I'm sorry, but I have to get this out of my system:
WHAT THE SEARING-FUCK!?!?
*exhale*
There we are. Time for the painfully obvious counterpoint: Ace Combat has always been mainstream. It has always AVIODED the needless complication and finicky control schemes that have plagued the Flight Combat genre--an almost EXCLUSIVELY WESTER GENRE!
This "good portion" of Western gamers must be complete idiots: Ace Combat h...
Funny. Last I heard, the Japanese PSN was down because the Japanese government wanted Sony to give a better account of what, precisely, allowed the attack to occur in the first place, (and possibly what they had done to prevent future attacks).
That explanation feels far more likely than this one.
Well, you're wrong.
Everyone knew there would be another Total War game.
Fans have been speculating on its historical setting since before Shogun 2 was even released.
And if if you WERE right, you'd STILL be wrong: this article is not news, whether or not it incites discussion or not. This would be better suited as a forum post. New, by definition, is NEW INFORMATION. This article contains nothing new, and nothing informative.
This is not news. Do not approve garbage articles that are not news, and do not offer anything worthwhile to discuss.
Or better yet: don't write them in the first place.
FasterThanFTL... that sounds horrible. Just... completely awful.
Witcher-level presentation and storytelling/sidequesting with fast, fun real-time combat ala Ninja Gaiden... would be the worst thing that could possibly happen to the RPG genre.
How in God's Green Earth will anyone, EVER, be able to top it?
WAY NOT TO UNDERACHIEVE, CD PROJEKT! YOU'RE MAKING BETHESDA AND BIOWARE LOOK LIKE INCOMPETENT, INCONTINENT MORONS!
Would you mind describing the combat? Is it more real-time than TW1?
(I won't get the game for another week or so).
I was thinking about pirating this game. But I won't. Not because they asked me not to, but because they said please.
One thing I'm curious on.... will the "free games" be locked to PSN user, or console?
For example, if I have 2 PSN accounts, do I get 4 free games instead of 2?
And if its locked to machines, what if I have 2 PS3s? Do I get 4 free games, too?
Seems like it might be really easy for some people to "abuse" the system and get everything for free.
A lot of the recent preview information sounds AWESOME. (Check Famitsu.com). Long missions (some story missions 60+ minutes!) with an emphasis on using terrain (huge maps) and ranged combat, NO RADAR, massive co-op (20 players on 4 teams at once), first-person sniping, the whole "sensor mode" concept, the new mechanics for hangar weapons, etc. It sounds fantastic.
I'm not entirely sold on the new visual aesthtic: I really hope the fastest ACs are still a bit &qu...
@Vojkan: I'm in a similar position, but have a different outlook. Yes, I own most of the games Sony is offering us, so it's not a good deal for me.
But look at this from Sony's perspective: They can either offer Good games, which many people may already own, or they can offer us bad games, which fewer people will own.
What happens if they give out good games? People will say, "Aw, that's too bad, I already own this game." And people ...
I don't get why there's a delay. Was the store itself hacked? What's the reason, specifically, for keeping the store closed?
I'd like to know why I can't use the online save feature: I thought all of us were supposed to get PS+ stuff.
Also: Store when? The only thing I've cared about regarding the outage is the PSN store. I have crap to to buy.
Starting on both coasts and working inward?
Great. As if the mid-west needed another reason to suck.
Why is it that people who play mostly online games feel like they speak for the majority of gamers?
Not really a fan of bleach, but I find it hard to resist ANY cel-shaded game. ~__~
And what's Totori? Is it another "timed" game like Rorona where you're forced to do stuff within a time limit? I hate that.
Looks good. I take it this is just a port w/ move controls, or is it a new game?
Very true. And these documents get leaked all the time. This kind of thing really shouldn't be new to anyone... it's just something Gamestop uses in order to sell games with no release date.
Hoho, awful list.
Putting a Draqon Quest game anywhere on it would have been lolworthy, but #1? Yikes.
