The only reason the PSN being down bugs me is the like of DW7 DLC.

I've never actually said this about anything I found n N4G, but that was... a very well-written article. I'm glad I took the time to read it.

Duh.

I have to have an NA, EU and JPN account because Sony's regional updates are so awful.

...Some people are profoundly stupid. Especially whoever wrote this "article." (Though I daresay the users who approved this are even denser).

Thing is... Netflix worked fine... until today. Yes, you can still "cheat" your way to the program proper, but when you access movies they will not load, with a (new) message appearing saying that streaming is impossible without an active long-on to the PSN. Yesterday, Netflix did not require a PSN connection to str...

It's a fantastic game and a huge leap forward for Sangoku Musou titles... but it's still has a lot of flows (camera and AI, bad acting most obviously). It's definitely worth non-fans looking at, but isn't a must-buy.

Also: gotta love Cao Wei's campaign. Other than the flamboyant fairy and the grotesquely obese retard, it was the most interesting of the 4.

Have we?

All I care about is when the PSN comes back: I have some shit I want to buy.

o__O How can people disagree with my post? How is that even possible? Is everyone here a moron?

@Venox: Totally agree. Funny thing is, I don't really think Okamiden was a great game, mostly because the more I played it the less I WANTED to play it. (And the more I wanted to play Okami).

Here's hoping Okamiden does well enough to warrant a nice, HD sequel or PS3 port.

Releases this generation have been so spartan I haven't missed any good games.

Well, maybe a handful on the DS, but no one really counts handhelds for these lists, so neither should I.

There's a reason for that. (Generally speaking, the reason why 3rd person perspective is MORE immersive than 1st person). That reason is... peripheral vision. A 1st person field of view is very narrow (which feels unnatural in comparison) whereas with the camera pulled back to a third person, or even over-the-shoulders position, we (the player) have a wider field of view. This is more natural and (therefore) more immersive.

Basically, the game world feels bigger because ...

Okay, okay. You got me. I was being hyperbolic. It really took me 6 hours to beat Jade Empire. And do all of the sidequests.

The point is, it's a damned short game. As for my "questionable" taste in games... look at my post one more time. Is it really so awful? Most RPG players who can remember Bioware's 'glory days' admit that DAO was pretty bad compared to the IE games. It's only children and console gamers that love it to death. And if you guy...

...Gotta love it when people censor things images that... have absolutely nothing objectionable in them.

I'd really like to see Atlus try to justify this douchebaggery.

Let's look at Bioware's track record post-3D:

Neverwinter Nights: Awful.
Neverwinter Nights Expansions: Decent.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic: Good.
Jade Empire: Awful.*
Mass Effect: Mediocre.
Dragon Age Origins: Bad.
Mass Effect 2: Very Good.
Dragon Age II: Mediocre.

It's not exactly consistent. Should we be optimistic? Sure. Should we be concerned? Of course not--to be concerned, w...

The same way Sony corrects every other problem: claim it doesn't exist, throw lots and lots of money at it, and then ignore it once the fanboys start saying that we're better off with the problem than we were without.

After reading this, I can only reply by rolling my hands across my keyboard with my fingers curled under the palms to mimic the wild gesticulations of a retarded chimpanzee.

@reburn: the data IS objective, isn't it? The only way it wouldn't be would be if single individuals could vote dozens or hundreds of times. Yes, the scores are subjective, but when dealing with opinion, EVERYTHING is subjective.

These scores aren't supposed to indicate the quality of a given product so much as the "reception" of a given product--it's a measure of how the consumers, in general, feel.

I don't get why low metacritic scores always make people blame some small minority for "spamming" votes and skewing the statistic.

If the average rating is a 6 or a 7 or whatever... that's the average rating. The more you disagree with that, the more of an outlier YOU are. It's profoundly silly to assume you represent the majority and everyone who disagrees with you the minority when there's a slew of objective data pointing in the opposite direction...

Well, it's inevitable...

Here's hoping there's no Kratos. His story ended in the first game, which made him so much worse in 2 and 3 I can barely articulate it.

I'd kill for a "reboot" w/ a different mythological setting. Greek is a tad overdone. How about Hindu or Buddhist myth? Native American myth?

Or, hell, follow Hesse and dive into an original mythology based off of Jungian psychology and Zoroastrianism.
