And there was a tone of server issues, after that was fixed up it got better.
Overall the game was a pretty average online game, it didn't do anything spectacular or revolutionary. If you find it cheap I'd recommend it you'll get some good use out of it. But if you're stuck on other online game don't bother, you'll just end up going back.
What about the original crimson skies?
Until that point they never even had ps3 dev kits at the studio.
Games take roughly 2-3 years to make, with a regular cycle, and if you include the fact that they'd have to work on a new engine for the ps3, and they were still working on halo titles, I can guarantee they will not have a game ready for the ps3 by next year.
They might be working on a game for the ps3, who knows, but they will not have one ready for release next year.
'it's also a phone'
I thought the episode was good but the artstyle was killing it for me.
Is that they don't support dx11, and with opengl just completely failing with opengl 3 failing to match any of the features brought about with dx11 leads me to believe that ps4 will not only have matched graphics but will be out-preformed by almost all cards.

not to mention TBR has been around for a long time and has been attempted and dropped by nea...
Why hasn't it garnered more success. This story smells of fake, if there was other hardware that was matching nvidia/amd/intel then we'd hear about just like we did about the larabee the moment it was announced.
They were also rumored to be a supplier for the ps2, and the rumored specs required 8 of these cores.
Also, these cores do not support DX11 features, which in comparison to opengl3 would mean that sony would heavily stunt their graphical capabilities.

Halo 3 had epic battles. I can't think of a single FPS which has more units all fighting on screen at once.
Take for exampls the scarab fight. You have scarab, banshees, banshee/hawk battles in the distance, ground troops, vehicle battles etc.
Or take halo odst, there are sections where you face up against 50+ enemies at once.
I'd rather sacrafice graphics for scenes like these. But I do think bungie could do a better job of making them more cinema...
you forgot
3rd person shooter = gears
1st person shooter = halo, l4d
Sim = viva pinata, ace combat
Party = fusion frenzy
3d platforming = banjo kazooie
racing = forza, pgr
etc.
If any console is dominated by shooters I think it's the ps3. Of all the games released this year, killzone 2 and uncharted 2 are by far the biggest 2, and both are shooters, I cant think of a single exclusive racing game for the ps3 released this yea...
Anyone else notice a complete lack of face buttons on the UI?
MGS = Microsoft game studios
MeGS = metal gear solid... ?
I mean what's our demarcation for these specific abbreviations?
I think Nathan Fillion and the crew from firefly should be nominated for their work on halo odst. Not to mention the voice acting on the side stories is as good if not better then the main storyline, and better then most radio productions.
Walmart accounts for roughly 15% of music sales and conversely I'd assume slightly more for videogame sales (since it's an even less broad medium).
That's a lot of unknown sales.
Same goes for amazon.
I hate when Studios call their own games awesome or stunning or the next big thing.
That's like a mother saying her kid is the coolest child in the playground
I think every character will pretty much be some form of jedi/sith so the other classes and class balance in general will suffer for it.
but don't forget.

and even valve thinks it's cool, but they're skeptical, like always.

Specially on a product you've never seen in person, tried, or ever programmed for, and against all the positive publicity from developers who have.
At least if you have halo waypoint.
I'm sure both Sony and MS are working to introduce those features to developers so they can take advantage of it.
First he started kicking up dirt with Valve, now ID and Crytek.
Honestly, gearbox made their name on valve and now this wad has burnt 1 bridge, and for a studio that hasn't developed any game that nears Crysis or Doom/quake in popularity and success and overall production values, saying things like this makes him come off as an ass.
It seems like he's just pandering to a specific group of fanboys so that he can earn an extra dollar in sales.
With the exception of halo 3 odst (which in itself was smaller then most bungie titles) and halo reach, bungie has never announced more then 1 game being worked on at any given time. It's pretty hard to think that they'd announce another title before the release of reach.
However I do agree with you that they might be making a more open world game, considering that their latest siggraph paper discusses at length tod(time of day) and atmospheric lighting. Bungie also has a pretty ...
