I take it that someone just created a new type of post processing shader mod for crysis using some tilt shift algorithm.
By far one of the best fps games released this year.
if you watch the video you notice some key indication that it's not cg.
1-the planets aren't round, they have edges on them
2-the space ship has normal mapped textures
3-their new lighting system allows them to properly portray the a transition from space to ground level
4-the scene is strikingly similar to what they used in their presentation
5-the scene is extremely similar to the halo 3 legendary ending.

looking over her resume she's the Female version of Carmack.
He work on her new work with volume texture maps seems really interesting, specially since she seems to be extremely 360/dx11 (and maybe dx11.1/12?) oriented.

Because if you look at any other thread about the game there's at least 15 posts saying "I hope it's not CG".
Most of which is fanboy fud.
They did, as it was the same models and the same poly count and stuff...
But they changed the texture on the chief and they removed the real-time lighting from the visor. The rest of it looks pretty much the same as halo 3 when played back through the video mode.

It's not as fun as you'd expect.
I think that there was something extremely idealistic in zippers eyes when they thought they could get that many people working together, but in the end, everyone just runs around and does w/e with very little actual communication and teamwork.
It's taking advantage of the gsc games world engine, which has been used for stalker. Another extremely un-appreciated game. But I think that this will look quite a bit better since the foliage in stalker is by far it's largest problem, and a snow-covered waist land should alleviate that.
I love the look and feel Russians give their games so I can't wait to see this game in action.

I can tell you right now that halo reach will look different then halo 3/odst and one of the primary changes going into the engine is the inclusion of a new lighting model.
Where in the current engine each frame was being drawn twice under an HDR and LDR pass then combined in the buffer, the new engine won't be doing this.
