Thanks Harry, fixed the typos and appreciate the feedback.

It can be hard sometimes when you're trying to get something out quickly. I'll place a little more care on it in the future.

Yes it's true, he's quoted within the article with references to their annual financial's showing a $US3.3 billion loss. If it was a rumour, then it would be in the rumours section. But thanks for checking, it's more than 'some' people do.

Actually you're wrong there. He's been the one behind getting the PS3 pricing back on track and getting Sony back in the black.

He was the one that "helped" KK retire due to his total lack of cooperation with Sony Corp with the PS3, DO some reading up on Stringer. He's the main man in Sony, no one else.

He even tried to get KK over to his own house to try and nut the situation out, but of course KK simply refussed and ignored all his emails and inter-office...

Before anyone lodges a Report of it being a Copy or old news or Duplicate Story, this is an 600 word article about said price drop and how it could and may affect others such as MS and Nintendo and also other items. NOT a link to the same news item.

I think with the feedback they have been getting, one would "presume" they would look at that and devise a better way. While it may become easier as you get used to it, a control system should be immediately usable for a gamer when starting any new game.

One of the selling points of the 360 earlier on was the claim that you could program the controller to your own style and it would remember it based on the genre' and always use that system by default.

Careful Sticky, you don't want to upset the Sony-boys . . . they'll come and let your tyres down when you're not looking.

Seems we can have upteen dozen articles and reviews about MGS4, but heck, let's not have too many about a 360 title, hell no.

Mine has all the latest mate, shame you don't live around here. (Newtown - sydney) currently they have approx 75 360 titles for rent . . . which is a solid line up.

They almost picked Australia for Far Cry 2, as the upper areas of Queensland offered similar terrain and style. I think Far CRy 2 will surprise many a critic actually, and by the time this one rolls around, they will have it nailed down even more. SO expect something really interesting. It could be around the time the x720 rolls up, who knows.

Ahh - a clarvoiant eh . . so you KNOW what the author is thinking and what he means . . you should get a job in a circus as well . .

Seriously, it's obvious he's referring to circus and clown . .dahh . .

Denis Dyack didn't do himself any favours by throwing the tantrum he did on several forums, and getting himself banned from NeoGAF. People then see the developer having a hissy-fit and judge the game based on that, not the game based on the finished code and how it plays, or doesn't play.

6409d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

As the author said, he didn't like the demo and had mixed feelings about it, but things did change when he played through the retail code fo the game.

So perhaps giving the game a try via rental might have you look at it differently.

You DID read the review - didn't you ???

Not a game I'm overly fussed with to tell you the truth, as it's a genre' I'm not that keen with in the first place. So I can't really pass judgment on it as far as playing goes, but the review does seem to approach it from a neutral standpoint, which is good.

I think there is a change happening withing developers now. Several are getting to grips with both PC, 360 and PS3 hardware, and finding ways to explore each one, yet do so in a way that helps each of them, but provides a great cross-platform experience.

We have to remember, that these things do not just 'happen' over night, and can take several generations or wave of titles before a dev gets to know the insides of a hardware item. In the end, it's better for the gamer when games...

This is what I dislike about this site.

Here we have discussed the issue, raisded some ideas, written a 500 plus word piece and then simply provided links to verify the comments.

The earlier one says absolutely NOTHING, and simply gives you a link directly to Gameindusrtry.biz. Whoopty bloody do . .

At least over at Game Grep you HAVE to supply a personally written description and small intro into the article, you have to include a section of the referr...

Thanks mate, re the graphics chip change.

As early as Spring '03, MS Xbox-Div went on the hunt for a new CPU/GPU for the 360 . . yes, that early, as they had to sign up thousands of contracts for parts from the simplest screws, right down to the main casing once a design was accepted. (there ended up being 9 final designs btw)

One of the BIG reasons MS changed was that Nvidia were not willing to look at alternatives in the areas MS were, and most importantly, not wil...

It's really hard to give links to the printed media mate, so I'll direct you to two publications, and if you can be bothered to read them, you'll find the information in there that i've quoted or mentioned.

They are Opening The Xbox and Xbox 360 Uncloaked, both written by renowned game journalist Dean Takahashi . . . who was given complete access to MS records and information when he secured the the go ahead to write the books on the xbox platform.

Not ALL things ar...

SO, it doesn't mean it can't be approached ina different fashion, simply because someone else has mentioned it perhaps a different context.

If that was the case, no news of any kind would get legs or increase as once it's posted, then by your definition, it shouldn't be discussed again . .

SOrt of misses the point really.

If you did post items on it in the past, that's great, but perhaps more ppl are now aware of it, and have different views on it and wa...

AHh - a sensible person, they do exist.

I have seen information for some time leading to this conclusion. Even as far back as 2005 things were written up within MS Xbox-Div to bring the next iteration of their platform out by "around 2010" giving them a 5 yr window to establish the second generation of console.

Gears Of War was engaged much earlier to be THE game for the 360 to help move it in sales - NOT the once thought of golden boy, Halo's Master Chief....

To those that disagree, how can you disagree with 'facts' . . . duoh, some people simply disagree to disagree ... Fact is, MS IS making the x720, Sony ARE making the PS4, Nintendo IS making a Wii second iteration.

Fact is, MS will be using the Valhalla's unified Motherboard on the new x720. Which is due for release lat '09 or early 2010. Which means

That the x720 will be released around that time - hello.

Sony's PS4 is planned for release around mid to l...

There is a distinct difference between a "life cycle" of a gaming console, and a "viable sales period before new tech being included"

The first Xbox was simply designed as a stepping stone to introduce the platform to developers, and most importantly, to get XboxLIVE off the ground and in peoples home PRIOR to releasing the 360.

Which btw, was being designed and built from as early as 2003, not long after the 1st-Gen Xbox was released in Nov 2002....
